Not from Michigan or familiar with the area. My dad and I were so excited to find this place on the side of highway that wasn’t a “fast food” chain. The lady taking our order was SO sweet and helpful and the kids outside on the picnic tables were telling us all about the community. Besides kids on bikes, we were the only people in a car. We weren’t even done with our food, and this man very rudely asked if that was our black car a rental and we said yes and he very rudely goes “well it would be nice if you moved your car right now and didn’t take up 3 spots”. First of all, this hole in the wall establishment didn’t even have parking sports marked so we honestly didn’t even know we weren’t in an “actual” spot. Plus the lot was completely empty at 3:00pm on a Thursday. We apologized and said we didn’t realize and he again got in our face about moving the car which we were also sitting so close to we could touch it. I’m not sure his issue, but he is not a nice person to his customers let alone cares if a customer can finish the last bites of their meal in an empty lot, before moving the car and driving off. Needless to say, we just left and threw away the rest of our food because we have a long drive ahead of us. This breaks my heart because up until this encounter, we were enjoying ourselves and the banana malt for my dads 67th birthday. Don’t spend money here - you’ll be treated poorly and have the owner get in your face and berate you. Delicious food, terrible hospitality by the owner which is the saddest part that he owns this place.
Wow!! We were so impressed with this small cafe run by teenagers!! The walking taco was our favorite… thankfully served in a container not small chip bag!! Sounds simple but it was a lot for the money… actually EVERYTHING was bigger than expected. It’s quick convenient food so I wouldn’t expect fine dinning BUT the ice cream dishes we got were AMAZING!! We also appreciated the small beach-ish area in the back with a bathroom. Just very happy this little convenient cafe!!!
Can t say enough amazing things about this place. One of the best little spots around that you can get some quality food and deserts. As you can see in my picture they built my burrito on top of chips so my burrito wouldn't become soggy. They really did a great job training their staff. My family has enjoyed coming here for food and all their ice cream options.

A great location on the waterfront with outside picnic tables for seating. A variety of food options see menu pics and ice cream options. My food is always hot, fresh, and delicious and the staff is always friendly. Mostly it's popular for ice cream for good reason. And it's right off the highway!
Such a great experience! Got ice cream cookie dough tornado and small nacho supreme I would highly recommend those! Super loaded and delicious! Ice cream was delicious too. We go every year for 4th of July fireworks clean outdoor bathroom as well. Staff did great managing the crowd and busyness of it all! Kids each got something different! Large cones.
Was great ice cream. Went by myself, and they do have an 8 dollar minimum if you use a card, so the girls got a good tip, considering I only got one scoop, was kinda small portioned but good.
It's not the best experience I was hoping for. The older lady there gave me the wrong order and then told me the cashier won't me up wrong and got mad at me and said well we don't do junior for that and then said we'll agree rang you up for a different price and I was like okay. No apologies what so ever, no offering to make it right , nothing. I would have paid more just tell me that you made a mistake and have to charge me more and I have no problem. But to turn around and snap at me about the mistakes someone did and then giving me a water cup with icecream shake in it and charging me differently and then shutting the window fast in my face was rude. My kids were there and didn't understand why the lady was so unfriendly, they said. I realized there was a young new person taking orders and making an error, but it was not her fault . She was learning, and it was a training error, which I'm sure she is aware of now. But for the older lady that was handing out orders your behavior, your rude customer service behavior was not needed . Thanks
We get food and ice cream from Dee's on a regular basis during the summer as we have our boat docked at a local marina on Whitmore Lake. The food and ice cream is great. I love ice cream and their ice cream is 5 star delicious. The staff is outstanding. Great service , very friendly and polite. We are always greeted with a friendly smile. The staff is mostly high school and college kids and they are great.
Service was very slow. There were 2 people working, potentially 1 in training and they were also grilling BUT there was another person "visiting" inside with long hair unrestrained and I felt that since they had a line they needed to focus on tasks not visit. $4.69 for single small scoop ice cream with sauce. Visited on Monday. September 5th.
