Deemer's Discount Groceries

This is not the ordinary kind of store. As a discount market, the prices are very good, of course. Lots of deals on meat protein for after workout, check the freezer cases. But you also can find organic items like spices and so on - and even their own local raised, pasture fed fresh beef. If you roam around, you'll generally see new items that popped up. You never know what you'll find. Somehow, it seems bigger on the inside than the outside. It's inexpensive, rather than cheap. I'll see this summer if they have ultra fresh farm-to-store produce. Something relatively akin to CSA Community Supported Agriculture. You'll find it as you climb to almost the very top of Coal St, then take the small road to the right immediately after Odyssey. The owner is one of the nicest guys around. He's out on the floor, working like everybody else. I really like this place. It's not exactly near me, but when I'm in the neighborhood it's the best grocery store to stop at. Very good deli meats, cheeses ,fresh and tasty. John C.Martin deli products.homemade natural peanut butter,honey roasted, cashew etc. Fresh from the farm beef, in the frozen section, ground beef, London broil etc there own beef ,no antibiotics, hormones,drug free, grass fed,no red dye in the meateggs,produce locally sourced, ended up deli person was the owner, very nice person, whole staff very helpful and friendly. Stop by, check it out, have a question or need help just ask and you will get answers and help.

Great store. Friendly and helpful staff. Items are hit or miss. You just have to keep an eye out for expiration dates. And in the summertime there's a weekly farmer's stand that's amazing

I have been missing p&r so bad ever since they closed. This place is a kind of version of what p&r once was but they’re getting better everyday. You can’t beat the deli here the prices are great and the meat is quality. They recently expanded their refrigerated and frozen section. This place is something to check out if you’re looking for cheap stuff or bargains.

This is a liquidation grocery store, so you can expect very different items every week and at head turning prices. Definitely worth checking out to grab some of those products you always thought looked good and wanted to try, but were just too expensive.

I've been getting bored with the same grocery stores so I decided to try Deemer's and see what they had... being a "discount" store sometimes means different things to different people, but I DID manage to get some things I needed here. Now, don't go in with a list expecting them to have everything, because you won't find all of it. But do keep your eyes open as well as your mind, there are some good deals here. Dairy from local farms Lancaster for example, local baked goods, produce, and meats, also a deli counter. Around ten bucks for a huge bag of chicken nuggets, A-Treat sodas, lots of frozen products, and some ethnic foods also. I plan on adding this store to my rotation, I like new brands on occasion!

Prices are excellent in Deli and frozen food meats. I would like to see the grocery shelves with more products and larger produce area . Very friendly staff. The above was awhile back. I must say there is a good grocery stock now. It looks like they added staff as well- so they must be doing something right . Much more groceries now and dairy selections. Keeps getting better with each visit. Best Deli and cold cut prices anywhere.

It's ok. Just like any other place, you have to watch your prices and since it's a discount store, watch for expiration dates.
