My favorite local bar to hand out with friends and dance.Food: 5/5

Was there on a Saturday night with two friends, one who has special needs and can’t get around without his furry companion. When we got to the entrance, I explained to the lady at the entrance the circumstances, and she went to ask what was presumed to be a manager if animals were allowed on the patio. The employee came over and escorted us to the patio, where we sat, while we got ourselves situated and gathered up the beverages from the bar. While we were enjoying our beverage and getting into our own, an employee comes over and asks about our furry friend. We replied that it is used for anxiety disorders. Well the employee was adamant that we leave, gave us time to finish up our drinks, refunded our admission and we left. The night was stressing enough as the friend with the social and emotional problems went into a ketonic state and our evening deteriorated into nothing but a stressed out mess. It’s bad enough when you are in your 20/20, but when you are away from your hometown it makes it harder to get to the next level. Needless to say this place is personna non grata in my BOOK, and the way they treat those with disabilities, it makes me Incredibly sad

I love The Lodge! It is such a safe space and I always have a great time there. Everyone is so nice from the front door ID person to the bartenders and drag queens. Saturday night dance nights are my favorite!

I cannot express how amazing this place is. It is THE PLACE in the area if you are an ally or member of the community. Long-standing location for a reason, it’s survived the test of time because of its patrons and its soul. Seconds after arriving for my first ever visit I was immediately welcomed by a non staff member and since then every visit has been a memorable experience. I am so grateful that a safe space like this exists. I highly recommend anyone visit: the shows are amazing, queens are beautiful, and the drinks are cheap. Forever a fan.

Great atmosphere, amazing staff, always quality entertainment. Local burlesque troupe performs bimonthly and weekly drag shows on Fridays are not to be missed! Safe, friendly, welcoming place for drinks, dancing, and an all around fun time!

Meet some friends here for a little post family gathering fun. They had a comedy show that was rather entertaining. This place in general is pretty cool. It's not a large space but big enough. Nice bar with lots of seats. A few tables spread out. The building itself was an old hunting lodge or something, at least that's what it looked like.

The Lodge is the warmth felt in ya first sip of hot tea, during a snowstorm. Thank you for your many years of comfort family.

I was there as a vendor with my business Serenity Baskets. All I can say is OMG!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Everyone is soooooo nice. Non-judgmental environment. It is primarily the LGBTQ+ community BUT it's a place for everyone!! I would prefer there then any bar/club out there. Yes I am straight but not once did I feel uncomfortable. If you want a place to drink with great music then The Lodge is the go to place!!

Had a great time on New Years Eve!!! Music was bumping and drag show was a nice touch. Drinks were cheaper than going to a bar in D.C. Bartenders were friendly and quick to get me what I wanted.
