Informal, kid friendly eatery. You order and pay at the counter. Get your own drinks and plastic utensils, and seat yourself. If you want chips and salsa, you must order unless you are having the combo meal. The chips were fresh and crisp. The salsa was mild, tomatoes and jalapenos. The queso was mild. The spicy taco sauce was spicy. By itself the flavor of vinegar was prominent. On the burrito it was great. The green onion sauce was mild and flavorful. I had the small ground beef burrito combo, no rice. From the description, I expected the tortilla to hold the meat and every thing else to be outside the tortilla. No. Everything was rolled up inside the tortilla. The burrito was flavorful. Initially I thought that it was short on meat, or that all the "toppings " were covering up the flavor of the beef. As I ate to the other end of the burrito, I found the beef. The servings are generous. I had more than enough. The hot sauce bar had a plethora of sauces. Some had hand made warnings of HOTthe ghost pepper sauce others were labeled EXTRA HOT. I am looking forwarded to my next visit.
Pretty large portions and fair prices. Very clean establishment. Quiet and slow for lunchtime. Awkward process to order your food from an unfriendly disinterested teenager before being seated at your table. Food was very good. Fountain drink station was clean and well calibrated for excellent tasting drinks and really good crushed ice! Would still recommend to a friend even if the employee in the register is more interested in their smartphone than assisting or welcoming customers
I’ll start by saying that this place is spotless... Emily at the register was super friendly, helpful, and knows everything about the menu. The large burrito was too big for me to finish I’m a big eater and it was quite good. My wife had some Mexican pizza thing taco stack, maybe and was happy with it, and said the sweet tea was good good tea is a big deal around here. We split an order of the garlic cheese curds, and they were tasty, but I think there should be more of them in an order. It isn’t cheap, but it beats the heck out of driving into Bossier at lunch.
Southwest style food inspired. Owner is a veteran of the Gulf War where he was serving in the United States Marine Corps. He is also a retired Bossier Parish Sheriff's Deputy. My wife and I come here often and we really enjoy the food. Obviously it is veteran friendly, something here for everyone, they also have dessert. Bring your friends, bring your family, or order ahead and take it home with you on your way home from work.
Food was quite good. You get very large portions for your money. The restaurant was clean, and the wait staff was awesome. Really worth the trip to eat there. Personally, I recommend the chicken quesadilla and the beef burrito.
Was just ok. Total cost floored me... ugh. In response to owners request... It was taco Tuesday... bought taco salad. 2 soft beef tacos and 3 Street tacos. large bag chips salsa and queso. Order of beans...To kind of get a spread of different food. Over 50$....understand what you are saying, but the food was not that flavorful. There was not much beans or meat on my taco salad. It was a small shallow shell. More lettuce than anything. I had heard great things about your place And purposely waited for taco Tuesday to try after hearing about your place.. The number of tacos I wanted for myself would have cost close to the taco salad. My fiance did not like the pork street taco at all. She loves street tacos. I am not a fan. Just like beef tacos. Also..grated cheese is put on bottom of tacos? Unusual. Even on my taco salad. Appreciate your request and I'm not trying to bash your process or food. Just honest review and experience. Thank you for your service for our country and freedom. We need more like your spirit and resturaunts from veterans.
Always fresh and everything is made in house daily. A family owned business by a USMC vet who is also a retired LEO. They love their customers and treat them like family. The best!
Great food! Wish we would have tried this place sooner. Definitely recommend if you are looking for Mexican food in Benton.
Outstanding! The worst thing is that it took me until recently to figure out that this restaurant existed. Had the quesadilla and the street tacos and they were both superb. Yut.
The food is delicious and the service is spectacular. I could rave about their food all day.
