My partner had a dream about looking for recipes online, and found one for "A Spoonful of Water from the Delaware River". The recipe said to prepare it, you first have to get a spoon, and then go to the Delaware River. Then, you use the spoon to get water from the river. The recipe also included what the author thought of the recipe. They said when they got to the Delaware, their first thought was "that sure is a body of water". After trying the spoonful of water, their immediate reaction was "that sure was a spoonful of water".
Very clean river with many great small towns very little industry on the upper parts of the river. Great boating and fishing.
Great time fishing as always couple bass
What can I say about the river? The river is a contradiction of terms. It is constantly changing yet always the same growing up along. The river is giving me many experiences. I’ve learned how to jump from a train trestle and ride a Sea-Doo. But I’ve also seen the downside of the river. I actually got to experience a flood where the road was completely covered by the river, and yet people rode boats to go to the bar. It smells fishy it’s dark not a place I would eat the fish that I caught it many do I also don’t swim in the Delaware anymore although that could change if I decide to go tubing again which also happens to be my favorite activity on the Delaware but it’s been years, it’s a place they can be both serene and chaotic at the same time. Personally, I enjoy walking along and looking for rocks, of course river rocks are the best rocks out there I believe there is much to learn from rivers, and I would love to be able to get a giant magnet and search the bottom of the Delaware to see what I could actually find, considering there have been houses, refrigerators, and stoves, and just about everything else you can imagine floating down the river and yes, I did say a house. Of course, the house will be flooded down because of the flood, but still a once in a lifetime vision.
Consider myself fortunate to live along this river! Is very fun to float in a tube/fish!
Went tubing with a few friends, apparently most people don’t do that as we were the only ones out there entrusting our lives up to fate with just a bit of rubber to protect us from the Delaware River. We floated along a good few hours, overshot our initial departure stop at Mueller’s Convenience Store where we stashed one car to drive back to pick up the other one we used to hop in the tubes up river. The current was strong at times so recommend either paddle, life ring/ preserver if you get out on the water. Overall a splendid adventure, slight sunburn.
They say that once you swim in the Delaware you cant ever move out of PA or NJ, you're bound to the river for life.
