"Dine-In everyday from 8am-3pm. When you look out the window at our popular, Deli-News New York Style Restaurant and Bakery located in North Dallas, Texas, your eyes may say "North Dallas strip mall parking lot," but your stomach says "New York and the Brooklyn Bridge. Our giant menu is loaded with authentic Russian-Jewish favorites such as latkes, kugels and motza ball soup, plus hybrids such as challah-bread French toast. Our triple-decker sandwich packs enough pastrami to fill Shea Stadium, and our bakery offers take-home treats including a decadent onion loaf. This was our first visit. The deli menu is extensive! I had a rueben, she had a Philly cheese steak sandwich. Both were served hot and piled high. Easily the best rueben sandwich I've had in Dallas. I like how they kept the dressing on the side. There's so much meat and sauerkraut that I had to use a fork. The fries were good, too. Table side service was excellent. Everyone looked happy to be there. We'll be back for sure.
This Deli is in Dallas - I came for the first time in 2010 and many times since - good fresh food all the time unlike a lot of the fast food rubbish in USA - salt beef , pastrami , goulash , great chicken soup and many other dishes and great service. Highly Recommend - simple mot complicated - it hit full in the 60 minutes we were there
As a New Yorker who recently moved to the DFW, this is NOT it. It’s not a deli more so a diner that sells sandwiches. I was feeling nostalgic for a bacon egg and cheese with salt pepper and ketchup because what New Yorker wouldn’t?. I have been on the hunt for an authentic style deli. I thought this would be it. I walk in, to a diner style restaurant. I was expecting a deli I go up to the counter order the sandwiches and wait to the side. This is not that. But! They did have a bacon egg and cheese and had an egg bagel. So I ordered it with salt pepper ketchup. And I wanted a deli style sandwich so I ordered a ham and Swiss lettuce tomato and Mayo they sadly didn’t have roasted red peppers on a wedge, except, they had no wedges, so a roll it was. It came time to pay and my total was 40 dollars, for two BECSPK and a ham and Swiss on a roll, I thought that was ridiculous but paid. I waited to get home, opened up a bacon egg cheese, no ketchup, instead ketchup packets in the bag, the egg was rubbery and salted to hell. So I threw that out. Then I try the sandwich, no Mayo, there was probably a packet in the bag but at that point I didn’t care to look. Big pieces of lettuce, don’t expect shredded lettuce and the ham was disgustingly salted. Threw away 40 dollars. Also the place was disgusting, from old meat stains where their glass was to splatters of who knows what on the walls walking in. There was nothing in there that screamed NY. My expectations were not high, but following instruction would have been nice, for $40. Change the name, it’s a diner.
Get here fast ! Hungarian Cabbage Roll is incredible. Best French Toast + Sausage Links in town!
Soo good! I had the challah french toast, very thick and yummy! Brooklyn patty melt was soo good like a 10/10, it had onions and I don't even like onions lol. very good! waiters were very nice also meat loaf also delicious
The food here is great. Their AC was out today but everyone was still doing their best to make sure the guests were comfortable.
Had a great first experience here! The veggie cream cheese is the best I've ever tasted, and as someone who has never been to New York or a New York style deli it was like stepping into another world. The staff were also incredibly nice. Will come back often!
What's quaint like every movie deli experience and has special waiters that make you want to come back? This place, my wife and I shared stuffed cabbage ,a chicken BLT with Cole slaw. I asked the waiter for a good appetizer and he surprised us. His words "I will take care of you". Things like that make you feel warm inside and it helped that we told him we had no restrictions and were up for adventure. The cabbage had a warm broth poured over it. Likely what stewed the vegetables and we even got our baby a few bites of the soft carrots. Sandwiches in a deli seemed like the way to go and Cole slaw was the next side of interest so we jumped for it. That chicken breast was exploding with herb flavors and seasonings that made mayonnaise on the bun unnecessary. Bacon and red onions added just enough flavor and texture variety to make that meal dance. I finished my half and looked hungrily at my wife's plate to see if she finished hers lol. Eat at this deli for 3 reasons: 1.the staff are the warmest I've met in quite some time. 2. You'll have a quiet moment to eat and think if you're alone and if you're not you'll enjoy a nice atmosphere with your friends 3. The food you get will make you curious about the rest of the menu. It sure made me want to go back.
This place was wonderful. I'm not Jewish, but this Gentile wholeheartedly approves. Chicken-barley soup was very nice, space is quaint, servers are professional and friendly they don't linger, but they stay on top of things, and it seemed like they knew half the customers personally and asked about them, their families, etc.. My to-go sandwich of corned beef and pastrami on rye was excellent, even reheated. My buddy told me it's been there for decades, and I can understand why. Highly recommended. Shalom!
Everything you could possibly expect from a Deli place and much more. I found their corned beef and lox extraordinary. You have to try this place if you haven't already. Trust the staff for suggestions. They answer any question in detail.
