We had such a great experience at this campground. We stayed here with some other relatives, and stayed in two different types of cabins and a camper site. All were excellent. It’s a lovely, updated, healthy campground, and has so many great amenities. The pool was large and always sparkling clean, little kids enjoyed the play area, weekend activities were a big hit, and the cabins were just right for our families. Our in-cabin a/c worked very well on a couple mid-summer hot days. Had no problems with noise and all the people in surrounding sites were friendly. Took advantage of pretty much all the amenities, including a nice, spacious area where boats could be parked. Would stay again and would recommend to a friend. Location was ideal for going to Devils Lake and the Dells. So convenient. Nearby activities: So much to do between activities at the campground, Devils Lake, and Wisconsin Dells. Wish we had more time to visit more places in the area. I guess we’ll need to come back. : Safety: We felt very safe during our entire visit. This campground is located in a remote area and fellow campers were all friendly and and respectful of those around them,
We planned a somewhat last-minute trip to the Baraboo area and came across this campground by chance not knowing much about it. We are so happy that we stayed here. The campground is very clean and well maintained. Every interaction with the staff was a positive experience, everyone was so friendly. The campground itself seemed very family focused, quiet, and everyone staying there seemed very respectful. Everything that we hope for when booking. It was just minutes away from Mirror Lake which is where we spent our Saturday hiking. The pool is very large and was super refreshing after our long hike! We had a great time playing on the new mini golf course, which was super affordable. The kids checked out pickle ball equipment from the office and had a good time playing that as well! The campground also has some great trails which was really nice for walking the dogs. We enjoyed our stay and the area so much that we booked again and are going back in two weeks! Dell Pines will certainly be an annual stop for our family!
Loved this campground. Nice pool, mini golf, reasonably priced, friendly staff, fun craft and barrel rides, convenient location to the Dells but far enough out to be away from the hustle and crowds. Very peaceful, and we made a relatively last-minute reservation with friends but got three sites together. Nice and quiet, no loud parties to try and sleep through. Nice bathrooms with plenty of hot water.
Stayed here for a week for our Dells family vacation. I didn't see much of the campground due to having a site right near the entrance, but what I saw of it was nice. Sites had tall trees and we're clean and not to cramped. Campground had some seasonal campers and was a very quiet place! Campground workers and owner all seemed to be nice people, the owner even helped out my dad with some tools as he was adjusting his new hitch. Plus, I had a toilet shutoff valve go bad and asked if I could have one delivered to the campground and the owner said no problem! They have a small store area to buy ice cream, clean bathrooms, a small game room, a play area for kids, and a new small mini golf area. They are just out of the Dells area so it's not busy, but close enough to the Dells to make a short trip back and forth. We would stay here again!
Campground was clean and sites are adequate size. Pickleball courts in excellent condition. New mini golf comes at a cost. Pol small but well kept. Bathrooms were very nice.Rooms: 5/5
We stayed at Dell Pines for 11 days. It was our first time here and we can’t wait to visit again! What a great campground!! The staff is friendly, the sites are nice love the pine trees, the pool is heated, and the bathrooms are very clean. The campground is also very close to Devil’s Lake, Mirror Lake, and the Dells. We liked that they have quiet hours from 11pm-8am. It was very peaceful here. Just what we were hoping for in a campground. We are ready to plan our next trip here!
Both nights we stayed the “Security” guard came barreling into our campsite looking for a fight. He was super rude and confrontational. He asked us to turn our music down which we did immediately, and he still proceeded to try to fight with us. “I know the owner” was his motto. I don’t drink, I was sober, and witnessed him be completely unprofessional with very aggressive body language. Unfortunately, the second night the owner came with him and stood by his “security guard”. What he really needs to do is teach his employee how to have professional courtesy interactions with his patrons. We’ve camped for 10+ years and have never had a campground be so stringent on music volume. We could barely hear our own music, that’s how low the volume was. If you want to be social and have a conversation while camping, this isn’t the place for you. If you’re 80+ years old and want to go to bed at 10:30pm lights-out, no noise - maybe this place is for you. It was actually pretty sad to see how few patrons were enjoying a campfire on a beautiful Saturday evening, we took a walk around 10:30pm and not a single camp fire going besides ours. Instead of handling his security guards rudeness, he proceeded to blame us for standing up for ourselves. Read other reviews, there seems to be a trend. The morning we left, the owner wouldn’t even let us pump our waste. Maybe try focusing on your employees’ professionalism before running more patrons out the door.
My girlfriend, kids and I are currently staying on site 1 of this campground. This is our first camping trip with our recently purchased pop-up camper. We were looking to find a safe and quiet place to take the kids and make family memories. This place is IT. The campground is quiet, staff is almost always readily available and campground staff maintain a quiet and party free atmosphere. We appreciate that this campground focuses on quiet principles of traditional camping instead of catering to a rowdy party crew. Along with the campground being quiet and safe; we also like the bathroom and shower facilities. Showers and bathrooms are cleaned regularly and maintained well. This campground has a heated pool, mini golf and park with several recreational opportunities, such as, horseshoes, corn hole, volleyball and several others. They also have activities planned throughout the year. Overall, we give this campground a 9/10 stars. The only thing we would change is offering larger wood options for purchase. We are fire starters from breakfast until bedtime. However, they do offer several options for purchase at the office. We also wish there was a method for purchasing wood after the office closes. We were so impressed with this campground that we booked another trip here in two weeks. Thank you for reading, we are now heading off to play some mini golf!
Lovely campground. Lots of shady sports. Several activities available, including cornhole, mini-golf, heated pool, and basketball. It has a nice shaded trail that goes all the way around it. Bathrooms are clean and well taken care of. Would definitely stay here again if we ever head back to Wisconsin.
Overall a nice, hidden campground to stay at for a night or a week or more. Pool is big and refreshing, nice little store and nice firepits at the campsite all some can be to close to your camper. Beautiful setting if your in the pines, but there is not a lot of privacy in that area. Minus one star for the extra cost of mini golf ... should be included with fee just like the pool in my opinion and for the permanent sites I don't love camping where others set up there home, seasonally and/or yearly, makes me feel like I'm invading there area. If there were separate areas for visitors vs seasonal, that would be better. Would return if I ever come back to the dells.
