I frequent Delta Downs more often than the other casinos that are in the area nearby because of the great experience that I have every time that I come here, I am never disappointed. My host Rachelle is always there to check to see if I need anything for that I am very grateful. The casino has plenty of slots and the lizard cafe has very good food. The rooms are always very clean. I will continue to be a guest for many years to come and I always tell my friends that Delta Downs Hotel & Casino is the place to go!
The room was decent, the AC was not blowing cold when we arrived, however it picked up as the night went on. The hotel room still had empty cups & water bottles in the floor from the previous guests. The shower in the room was great, the bed was comfortable. If you are hungry after 9pm, don't even try to eat at Gator Grill, even though the staff was friendly, the food is equivalent to gas station food. They do not serve anything on the online menu after 9pm to my knowledge. The pizza was not good, the buffalo chicken sandwich was worse. Also, there is NOTHING nearby to have delivered or to run & grab a bite quickly. There is also no "coffee shop" so if you're wanting gourmet coffee in the morning, don't count on it. I've always loved this casino. The casino is clean & staff is friendly.
I haven't been here in about 10 years, so I was pleasantly surprised with the remodeling. Lots of slots, both modern and old school, reel type. This is usually my final stop on the way home from Lake Charles as time allows. I may have to give this place some thought as a destination.
I had problems with a high-stakes machine, it was my first time there and I had never played this type of machine. The manager type, an Afro-American man of about 45 years old, yelled at me and it was unfair to me and I called him to help me, not so that He will yell at me, like an oarac so the other people will hear. The problem was that the machine didn't want to print my ticket and I had to call it and it told me that I had to make a shot that was the maximum like 18 or $ bet and the machine wouldn't let me lower the bet because I never saw them played I just wanted to having fun was my first time but the truth is that I wanted to tell him something, I didn't do it out of respect, but I think they should have friendlier staff, we're thinking about going again but I'm thinking about it Walkability: No
A year ago I wrote a "not so good" review however after visiting recently, I am rating 5 stars!! Service was excellent, rooms clean, easy check-in/out and I love the new Modern design of the casino! Bell service was the best thanks to Cutter. He went "above and beyond" in assisting us with loading our luggage and mobility scooter. We had a great time and will be back soon! Keep up the good work Delta Downs!!!!
We come once a month or more That should tell you about our experience but I’ll continue. We eat at both restaurants I’m picky but I am with everything, but I have found many items on menu’s that I love. Everyone’s taste is different so don’t give negative reviews just try it all. Beds are ok, but as with anyplace there’s no place like your own bed and fans and Airconditioner. Nice back road drive from Katy Texas. Never encountered anyone being rude. Won many times but we replay our winnings most of time. We never encountered any rough people in casino as we have in casinos. We enjoy the size of casino not walking around in circles trying to find way out or to restaurants. Our check in staff Austin has always been pleasant. I have no complaints about this place other than the room we stayed in. It was so dirty. I found a hair pen in the bathroom with hair on it. Every light fixture in that room was Dusty. The card that they put on the bed had brown stains on it and they still put it on the bed. Trash had not been taken out. Old sopa in tray. You could tell no one went to clean the room. Food & drinks: We ate at one of the restaurants in the Casino and the food a service was great.
I love this place always have fun won a little but had a good time. They have the nicest rooms huge tub. And the hot tub is awesome.
This is the first time I have stayed overnight here. I had an issue with the first room assigned to me after speaking with the front desk they quickly and without issue gave me another room, which was great. The room are clean with comfortable beds and a great shower. At the actual casino, it wasn't crowded and the winnings were nil for myself.....Maybe I will have better luck another trip
Fun casino with the games I enjoy. The floor workers are very helpful and friendly. I haven't gone during live racing but the track seems very nice.
