Description

Housed in Delta's original 1940s aircraft maintenance hangars--the oldest existing facilities at the Atlanta airport. A special destination to explore the history of Delta and its family airlines, tour historic aircraft, shop for retro merchandise or rent a unique event venue.

Mission

Serves the family and friends of Delta Air Lines by collecting, preserving and presenting the history of Delta and its affiliated airlines in ways that educate and engage.

Products

* The Spirit of Delta, Delta’s first Boeing 767. Purchased by employees, retirees, and friends as a gift to Delta in 1982. Interior contains two exhibitions.
* “Ship 41”, the first DC-3 to carry Delta passengers. Restored by volunteers and a core mechanic team, 1993-1999.
* 1931 Travel Air represents Delta's first passenger aircraft.
* Northeast Airlines 1936 Stinson Reliant SE, an instrument trainer for pilots in 1941-1942.
* Northwest Airlines 1928 Waco 125 biplane
* Exhibits connecting you with the history, people and culture of Delta and its airline family.
* An 800-square-foot Museum Shop, housed in the fuselage of the first Lockheed L-1011 ever built.
* Professionally managed archival collections hold 200,000+ images, 1,000 films and an extensive flight attendant uniform collection.
* Replica of the first Delta station in Monroe, Louisiana.
