Delta Upsilon was founded in 1834 at Williams College in Massachusetts and is the oldest non-secret fraternity in North America. Being non-secret sets us apart in many ways, most notably in that anyone and everyone can come to our chapter meetings and rituals. Our motto is “Dikaia Upotheke” which means “Justice, Our Foundation,” while our four founding principles are the Promotion of Friendship, the Development of Character, the Diffusion of Liberal Culture and the Advancement of Justice. Our national philanthropy is the Global Service Initiative, which offers members the opportunity to engage in direct service in developing nations. That has recently included building schools and classrooms for children in Jamaica. . If you have any questions about Greek life or just want to see what a fraternity meeting is like, you can come to one of our meetings. We meet at 2pm on Sunday afternoons; contact a brother for the location. Dikaia!
Building Better Men by focusing on our non-secret heritage and Four Founding Principles: The Promotion of Friendship, Diffusion of Liberal Culture, The Development of Character, and The Advancement of Justice.
