I grew up with my best friend a local independent jeweler and I feel that Delton Hayes Jewelry is exactly that kind of place. The staff is friendly, they can do repairs and they have beautiful merchandise. We have dealt with several people there including the owner and we are always treated well whether it’s a watch battery or a major purchase. We started going there when they were recommended by close friends who have been going there for years. I trust them to care for our items and to deal fairly. I highly recommend them as a trustworthy business.
Similarly as others have said, extremely condescending staff. I’m sure if you’re looking for something simple this is the place for you! Simple purchases seem to have decent reviews. Something complex is definitely out of their scope. Went in to verify if a few antique rings were gold in order to make it into a custom piece. Right away the front area lady said none of it is, she was adamant it was only plated. We still continued the process and asked for it to be formally tested. Surprise surprise turns out it was gold. Finally got our materials back after they’d dodge our calls. We had to show up unannounced and decided not to continue the process here. If you get a bad feeling of a place turn around. You can feel the unfriendliness the minute you step in. Extremely terrible customer service. If anyone would like evidence or more info feel free to reach out!
Just want everyone to know how great Delton and the staff are. From the moment I walked in, I felt very welcomed. It was obvious that they are very professional and took the time to walk me through the whole engagement ring buying process. I went from being “ring” clueless to putting a huge smile on my girls face!! Thank you again Delton Hays for making the whole experience great!!!
The process of buying an engagement ring is an unique and stressful experience! Delton Hayes was my first stop when I began looking for rings. I did lots of research on my own and shopped around at other jewelers. In the end I came back to Delton Hayes. Their quality, style and prices were better than anywhere else I went. My husband went to Delton Hayes to get me a custom wedding band to fit and match my engagement ring. The service was awesome and the ring is BEAUTIFUL!
I highly recommend Delton Hayes! We brought my mother-in-law's ring in to get it resized. They were incredibly kind to us. They did a wonderful job on her ring. You can tell they take great care in their work and care about their customers. I can't express in words how wonderful and kind they were to us. You won't regret going here!
I cannot say enough positive things about Mr. Delton Hayes. I have never entered his store and been greeted with nothing less than a huge smile and positive attitude. He has helped me on a few transactions from a custom made engagement ring & band to gifts for my wife and family. I would recommend his store to my closest friends and family and have done so. Delton Hayes Jewelers is a secret that should not be kept. If you want the love of your life to have a custom creation that isn't carried at every store in the mall within your budget, I suggest this man. His attention to detail will not disappoint.
One year update: they never contacted me like they said below. Take your business elsewhere. While the staff at the front office were all kind and helpful, I was not impressed by their eye for detail or craftsmanship in the back office. I brought in a necklace that needed a chain reattached to the pendant, what I believed to be a simple fix that would take less than a week became a 3-week long joke. I returned to the store once a week to pick up my necklace only to find that they consistently failed to remove residual flux black marking or even polish the necklace prior to pickup. To anyone trying to have something fixed or thinking about purchasing an item, go somewhere else. Ideally to someone that has an eye for detail and pride in their workmanship.
Everyone one here is great from the front staff all the way to the back where you will find Mr. Hayes. They are genuine good people with very fair pricing from repairs of watches too jewelry prices! Their diamonds are beautifully cut this is where ill be going to get a wedding ring for sure if i ever get married and were i go for all my needs as of now. I couldn’t be happier with the service and quality I’ve received so far from them. I highly recommend them.
I have used Delton Hayes to convert my grandma’s ring into custom jewelry for my daughter. He took two diamonds from the ring and made her earrings, which I gave her for her 21st birthday. He recently used the emerald from the ring to make a ring for my daughter for her graduation from Baylor. She chose an existing setting that he suggested from a catalog. The result of both pieces exceeded my expectations. Not only were the pieces exactly as specified, the prices of the custom jewelry was reasonable versus other local jewelers who gave me estimates for the same custom pieces. The pieces were finished in the time requested, which was important because I needed them in time for special events. I highly recommend Delton for any custom jewelry or jewelry repair!
