I picked some of their snickerdoodles because I they are one of my favorite cookie. They also looked delicious, but I was completely disappointed with them upon tasting them. The were tasteless and completely lacking any flavor of cinnamon. They reminded me more of a soft dog biscuit. I paid $10 for 12 of these horrible cookies. How can a company get away with selling this inferior product. I will definitely be telling the store that I purchased these about it.
This is a landmark in Brookline that’s been around for quite some years now! Come in for some fresh cut lunch meat and cheese or try one of their tasty donuts or delicious homemade bread! You can get a little bit of everything in here grocery wise and their bakery items like their homemade cannolis are worth stopping in for!
I absolutely love this place. They make an awesome bacon, egg, and cheese panini! Great bake goods. The lady's that work here are all extremely nice! You can't go wrong with stopping in!
Received gift of anise biscotti-SO GOOD!
This review is for the past 5 visits overall the food and baked goods are very tasty and won’t stop eating there but for the past couple visits I have gotten sandwiches with extra bacon and extra meat and both times there was one piece of bacon and what seemed to be a normal amount of meat not extra it takes a $9 sandwich to a $14.50 sandwich so your paying $5.50 extra for nothing so just go with the regular sandwich without adding extras. Also have had a few sandwiches that were supposed to be toasted but have come with Luke warm bread and cold meat and and cheese. Service is good never had an issue workers seem very nice.
Absolutely delicious!! My first order via DoorDash and it is soo delicious!! Panini excellent. Donuts very fresh. They were out of two that I ordered and they made them for me! Thank you!! These remind me of my childhood and my Gram and I really needed a little piece of her today. Couldn’t be more pleased!
Just ordered there today from Uber Eats, and let me tell you, it was delicious! I never ate anything from here before so I thought I’d give it a try and I’m glad I did. I ordered their turkey club panini and it was so good. Probably the best panini I ever ate! I also got a fudge brownie and it was huge for only 3$.... so worth it. The prices were great, portions were big and so flavorful! Definitely will be getting food from here again!
The deli meats are Boars Head Very good quality. I suggest calling ahead & having them make you a sandwich. You can pop in and order too but good food takes awhile. Plus they usually only got one or two people working. Also try there bake goods if you have a sweet tooth. I always just walk in order my sandwich & pick out something sweet while I wait. This place is 100x better than any fast food sub joint.
The turkey panini was made with their fresh bread and was delicious. It came with a generous portion of potato chips and a pickle. I bought two Buckeye cookies the best shortbread ever for dessert and spent less than $10 total. The staff was extremely friendly - love this place.
I stopped up there a couple weeks ago for some bakery items. The wait was overly long at the bakery counter, but I came over lunch, so I figured they would be busy fulfilling orders and they were fine with that. The bakery cases were pretty empty and all there was were donuts, cannoli and a few other miscellaneous items that did not look fresh. Not a cookie in sight other than prepackaged. No pastries. Did something change and you no longer keep these items on hand? What am I missing as I would think a bakery would have a wide range of baked items in the case fresh and ready to sell. I got the impression they are more of a sandwich place now or something.
