Robert S. Denkin, Ph.D. is strongly committed to helping you achieve satisfaction in all areas of your life. He integrates a practical and skillful approach to problem solving that will enable you to identify and overcome obstacles that are impeding your growth. Dr. Denkin specializes in individual therapy with adolescents and adults who have a history of trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, or attention-deficit problems.
Utilizing a wide range of clinical experience, Dr. Denkin employs interventions derived from many different disciplines; including, but not limited to, mindfulness based skills training, stress management techniques along with relaxation training, psychodynamic psychotherapy, behavioral modification, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Dr. Denkin is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University and in addition to high-level training and a broad knowledge base in the field of psychology, he is a former professional baseball player and collegiate coach; experiences that have contributed to his understanding of what it takes to accomplish goals.
