The Dennis Volunteer Fire Company is a fully volunteer department in Cape May County, NJ serving the unincorporated towns of Dennisville, North Dennis, and South Dennis in Dennis Township, Cape May County. The department serves a 22.3-square mile first-due district with approximately 1,500 full-time residents.
A large stretch of State Highway 47, one of the key access routes to the Jersey Shore, runs through the first-due area. In addition to serving the first-due area, the department also responds as part of an automatic mutual-aid agreement to all confirmed working fires in the neighboring towns of Belleplain, Ocean View, and Woodbine. The department consistently runs an average of 150 calls a year, with yearly totals increasing each year.
The department currently operates with 1 Engine, 1 Rescue-Engine, 1 Tender, 1 Mini-Engine, 1 Rescue, 1 Command Vehicle, and 1 Marine Unit.
Our mission is to deliver the highest possible service to our community by protecting life, property, and the environment within Fire District #2.
