DentaQuest Facebook Community Guidelines:

The DentaQuest page is an informative community where consumers/families, partners, service providers and other community stakeholders can engage in conversation to learn about services and obtain dental health information and resources. Our community guidelines for engagement are included below.

We reserve the right to remove posts that: violate Facebook’s Community Standards (https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards) or terms or policies. This includes comments that are inappropriate, offensive, off-topic, privacy-invading, potentially libelous, contain solicitation or are disruptive to constructive conversation. We will also monitor and remove any conversation that violates HIPAA regulations.

All comments are eligible for review and will be removed if a user repeatedly posts content that violates Facebook’s policies. The user may also be banned from participating in conversation on the DentaQuest Facebook page and/or reported to Facebook. Only videos and photos owned by community users should be shared on the page — by uploading videos/photos to the DentaQuest page, users warrant that they are the sole owner of or have obtained all necessary permissions to do so. DentaQuest is not responsible for any claims otherwise.

Thanks, I hate it. If you have a choice, anything but Dentaquest, it's useless. Root canals? Nope, covered for some front teeth only. Crowns? Not covered. Deep Cleaning? Denied due to being "medically unnecessary". X-rays only covered once EVERY THREE YEARS. Like, what?! It's honestly cruel and Dentaquest should be ashamed. Comically out of date providers list on their site. One near my home was actually TORN DOWN, dentist retired, and it's still on their site as being a provider a year later. I don't even know why they have employees. All they do is call you to tell you your -insert dental procedure- has been denied. My dentist put in claims on a Friday and they denied them by Monday morning.
I an Dentaquest client who had this insurance since 2019 and have nor the gotten the proper dental care. All the dentist offices I applied to don't accept this plan and when l several complaints to address the matter nothing was resolved in addition. The phone reps appeared to be rude. I need work done and still no dentist will accept this plan in any event, I am rid to get this plan.
I work in the dental field - so I frequently have to call ins companies. This one is bad. I spoke with a representative who was very rude and had a very blasé attitude. When asked why the the EOB our office was sent showed incorrect info, she simply said that's just how it's done. Just to offer some insight, the codes that billed were changed, codes were duplicated, and the write-offs didn't add up. Clearly whoever processed the claim didn't know what they were doing. And the rep I spoke with didn't had any understanding of dental billing codes whatsoever. She had no concept of what a crown was, what a build up was, or even worse, how x-rays are coded.
Worst possible customer service! The website gives outdated and incorrect info on dentists who take the plan. So far none of them do! Then try calling. The oldest trick in the book, they leave you on hold then disconnect you. I'd rather have a root canal than deal with these folks. Wait a minute, that's not covered! Oh well. What scammers! HINT: forget the voice prompts when you call and you will, just keep pressing '0000000" until you get a person. Then assume the position. And expect to be disconnected. I asked to be connected to a manager, got transferred to voicemail. Take a guess. This is exactly what's wrong with medical insurance in America. My advise, stop paying them. It's a scam anyway. Just matter of time before you see these thieves on '2020' being led out in handcuffs. Vote with your wallet.
Called the first 200 dentists on the dentaquest plan. None accept it anymore. I have a severe infection in my mouth and I need an apico. The customer service only directs you to use the "find a dentist" search on their website. People are literally dying from not being able to recieve care. I've had this infection for over a year couldn't get help due to covid precautions and been on antibiotics 3x. You see the complaints, do something about it. I think my favorite part was the only dentist I could get to remove my wisdom tooth was so under qualified that I'm not quite sure how he got approved. He did not wait for the numbing to kick in, incorrectly charged my insurance and mocked me for my anxiety after informing me he knows about my heart health better than I, you know, the person who actually had the heart attack. Thats not the best part though. Then the meds he precribes are unsafe for people with heart problems. I had another heart attack and he still has his license. Then the previous dentist was literally a hole in the wall. Two students working on my mouth with no doctor overseeing. Those fillings came out before the week was over. All 4 of them. I'll post the link for the class action lawsuit soon. Feel free to add yourselves.
Horrible insurance can't find a dentist anywhere that takes it!
Some of the agents are not very professional! I shouldn’t have to speak with a number of agents just to solve my issue. When I ask a question they are clueless and unhelpful! If they can’t solve my issue they should redirect me to another agent who might have more experience. Just don’t sit there in silence...Then I am either disconnected or they purposely hung up. How can an insurance company, that are supposed to help solve and answer questions be so unreliable? This is probably why the Better Business Bureau gave this company a C rating. By the way the website for members login isn’t working too!
Do not waste your time Denta Quest are the absolute worst company to deal with, and have the worst employees to boot. I used their portal and the first 3 dentists they said accept my insurance/HMO and they DON’T ACCEPT IT !!! Run don’t walk away and find another dental provider ASAP. If I could give ZERO stars I would.
So how does a Dentist have 8 different locations in their system? The website is utter junk! You search your zip, and doctors are on the list from 100 miles away. Other dentist are not even working at the location they list.
Worst dental insurance company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Horribly rude customer service, always a long wait to speak to someone on the phone, and to top it off the reps are powerless to be of any real assistance. I signed up with them because they advertise 100% coverage of preventive care whether you go in or out of network. Turns out to be a blatant lie. They paid so little toward my cleaning and X-rays that I was stuck with a dental bill that was actually higher than it would have been if I didn't have insurance at all! My dentist's office bent over backwards to help me; they refunded the paltry amount that DentaQuest had paid, and ended up charging me the uninsured rate, which saved me hundreds of dollars. Meanwhile, DentaQuest gets to collect my premiums for the past 7 months, and pay nothing toward my dental care. I will be writing to their corporate office, the BBB, the attorney general, and telling everyone I know.
