Denton Municipal Court

Linda was so mean! I was calling to ask the question and last week people I was calling were so nice and when I called them back Linda has a big attitude. I’m like 50min away from the court but Linda didn’t answer the question well and seems like ignoring me and pretend not to heard from me. I felt like Linda being rude after knowing I’m foreigner. I have to go in person now. She ruined my day.

Thank you to Maria!! I had called in a bit stressed with a bunch of questions and she helped immediately. You can hear the kindness in her voice, and she had every answer I needed. I do appreciate it!

I give 5 stars only because of the darling clerk, Lisa, whom assisted me both of my visits and was very kind and courteous to me — despite my ignorance with the process and legal system in general. This was my first citation, and I had heard so much about how poorly you are treated at courthouses when trying to take care of your tickets, so naturally my nerves and anxiety were at all time highs, however, Miss Lisa was very kind to me, and answered all of my questions while also offering some sound advice. She is an example of grade A customer service and I think that Denton Municipal Court is lucky to have such a great employee working for them! Thanks Lisa at the clerks desks!

Horrible service. With the ladies that Handel the citations. They tell you one thing and than it's another. Finding out they didn't take my fax and still put $100 more on my father ticket. Y'all really need to get your employee with the right rules cause I think that's wrong. Don't tell someone that they can fax an extension on a ticket and than keep saying we haven't gotten it. Finding out y'all don't except that. If you would have explained things for the beginning. He doesn't even live near Denton area. He was just there for work, anyways that was just my issue. I have on two different occasions been told different information over the phone than when I come in person. It is a waste of my time and infuriating. Not only this, but I ALWAYS double check I understand what is required of me and even go so far as repeat it back to whom I’m on the phone with to avoid mistakes. I got a traffic ticket recently and asked if I could take defensive driving to keep it off my record since I was eligible. I got the approval so I confirmed MULTIPLE times that I could come in any day before 01/13 and pay off my ticket and provide the certificate. But guess what? APARENTLY THATS NOT THE CASE. I had to pay FIRST and then take the course DESPITE HAVING BEEN TOLD VERY CLEARLY I COULD TAKE CARE OF IT ALL IN ONE TRIP. I am fed up with the incompetent employees that work there and hope I never have to deal with them again. Not to mention I was completely disrespected and called a liar for no reason by one of their employees. I wish I could give - stars.

All the phone numbers lead to a recording that offers basic information. If you need to request information, you will have to make the commute just to speak with anyone about doing so. The website only offers info on currently unpaid citations, which did not apply here. I called Corinth and they answered immediately with a very helpful clerk. No recordings or machines.

Do not expect anyone to give you an ounce of human decency. From the Clerk, who seems to always be in a terrible mood, to the prosecutor, who finds it humorous to intimidate and curse wildly, everyone you encounter has no problem ruining your day...and then drag it out into a 6 month ordeal. Talk about corruption in our government, this place is a prime example of people being wicked in a business as usual mindset. Deplorable. Simply, deplorable. There is no reason a year of my life had to be devoted to an inaccurate minor speeding citation, other than the inadequacies of those supposedly here to better our community.

All the officers are rude, as well as the ladies in the office. They don’t work with you nor do they stop talking long enough to listen to you so they can answer your questions. Also they don’t seem to have the knowledge of what’s going on in their building/city.

Good experience. Talked to three different clerks. All were very helpful and courteous. Fees paid are to support our county, and for the priviledge of driving.

They must understand Judicial System is not meant for business just collecting fines but most beautiful aspect is to give chance for correction!!! Bad experience. Hopefully they will improve
