Dr. Keith Theodore graduated from Howard University Dental School in 1980 with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. He then accepted the first Private Group Practice General Dentistry Residency in the country where he was able to hone his many clinical skills from the specialists who not only came together to form the practice but were all professors at the University. Dr. Theodore has kept memberships in many dental organizations such as The National Dental Society, Robert T. Freeman Dental Society and American Orthodontic Society. His involvement in the community includes the Head Start Program for Pre-School children, Colgate-Palmolive Bright Smiles Community Mobile Clinic Program, and many trips to rural areas of Jamaica where his services were greatly needed. Dr. Theodore is fluent in Spanish, Russian, and Caribbean dialect. He practices in a setting that is caring, and professional.

What are Dentures?

Do you accept dental insurance?
If you have dental insurance, the practice will provide an appropriate dental walk-out statement. While our practice does not directly file insurance claims, you save money by filing the claim yourself. Our fees are so low that the total cost for services you receive is frequently less than the co-pay you are required to pay to your insurance carrier. What will new dentures cost?
You can get fee information by calling (301) 459-5901. No one wants to be embarrassed because your treatment plan was far more than you could afford. We show our practice's fees so you can have a reasonable estimate of the cost of the services you will need. Please note that additional fees will be charged for clinical services such as consultation, radiographs and extractions.
When should I replace my denture?
Typically dentures need to be replaced Every 5 to 10 years. With time, the jaw bone shrinks and the denture teeth may wear down causing the denture to become loose and not effective in chewing food adequately. You need to have them checked during a yearly dental visit.
Can I get an emergency appointment?
Yes. Our practice is able to provide same-day treatment for patients that are in pain and need emergency extractions and/or denture repairs. The state of your health and any medications you may be taking will determine if extraction services can be provided.
What if my denture hurts?
It is not unusual for a new denture to hurt and create sore spots on your gums. Just call our practice and we will schedule a time that is convenient for you to return to have your denture adjusted. Adjustments help eliminate sore spots, and there is typically no charge during the first 60 days. Following 60 days, a small fee is charged for adjustments.
