My daughter and I went on one of their free days and had an amazing time. I grew up in Littleton but have never actually been to this location though I have visited the Denver location on several occasions. I must say I think I prefer this location now! It's easy to get to, laid back, tranquil and stunningly beautiful. I particularly enjoyed seeing all of the edible plants worked into arrangements, including kale, cabbages, and a wide variety of herbs. I especially appreciated the kindness of the staff toward the younger crowd. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant, understanding and patient. We can't wait to come back! Playground: There is a small treehouse style play area in the center of the park Picnic area: There are picnic benches located throughout the grounds
The corn maze was so much fun!!! Not easy, but super fun! The floral scenery was beautiful and the staff was super friendly offering to assist with anything. The corn maze had a super cool festival of food and games with a children’s maze too. Worth the trip for sure!
Trail of Lights is awesome! A decent distance and really well done lights! It was definitely crowded but they also do a pretty good job of staggering people in. I would definitely recommend it for all ages! Be sure to wear appropriate clothes and shoes. There is not a paved path the entire way so it could get a little messy if it rains or snows.
I had been wanting to visit this garden for quite a while, and I wasn't disappointed. When I got there, the first thing that occurred to me was how necessary this little oasis from the city was. You hear all the sounds of nature while your eyes are full of bright, vivid flowers in the intriguingly-designed layout. I let my eyes guide me around the garden encouraged by my curiosity. I discovered the garden of irises and lavender, which I can't wait to visit later in the season. Then there was branch-constructed maze that made me feel like a kid again. I wondered over to the native plants and the survival garden, which inspired me for my garden. I stumbled upon a trail that led me to the children's play area with a tree house followed by the stables and barns. There's a little bit of history here to teach kids what life was like when the farm was established. I could go on and on, but I think you should see it for yourself. I'll be back for sure to see the gardens in other seasons.
Husband and I had a lovely time walking through the trail of lights. No trouble finding parking, they even have a section to park for people with limited mobility. Bathrooms are just a short walk from the entrance and were very clean and well maintained. Snack and drink shack right as you start the trail with one about half way through as well. Very beautiful lights and displays, would highly recommend! We spent about an hour here, but I can see people spending longer if they stopped to really take in the sites or sat down to eat.
I was excited about Lavender festival and went to visit on a sunny Saturday morning. However, I feel sad to say I was disappointed. Starting from the parking area, there is a lot of dust in the air due to cars being parked on gravel road/area. I think the management could have done a better job maintaining the parking area given the influx of people at the festival. The area is overall quite smaller than I expected. The lavender were not in full bloom maybe or are they were sparsely planted. There were just a few rows of lavender farm and that’s it! Noting was awe-striking! It was very dry and extremely hot! The stalls/food booths were kore than the lavender fields. The butterfly park is tiny and not worth the visit. Got lavender lemonade for $9.5 which I thought was expensive given the quantity and taste Would not recommend. It is dry, flowers are not in full bloom and the views are not great either. Not worth $14 ticket and a long drive to Chatfield!
We choose Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms for our September 2022 wedding and are so happy we did! Everything turned out beautiful and the team was great to work with. The space was perfect for our indoor/outdoor wedding vision. We also loved having the whole garden space to take our bridal party photos.
Tried the winter scape view as I have visited here in the spring/ summer and Fall. Always a nice walk to get exercise. Crew was setting up the Christmas lights with amazing talent. Would love to see this but need to head back home to Wisconsin.
If you appreciate, nature, plants and flowers I don’t see why you would not give it a five star! Many plants can only be seen here at Botanic Garden. Even if you have seen the same plants somehow they make their at least 5 or more times bigger I guess that’s why they are called Botanic. If you really want to experience it all, you must come here in SPRING, SUMMER, FALL even WINTER. It changes so you get something else to see. Pictures attached are from different seasons.
A lovely place to admire the flowers native to Colorado located on an old farm. There's still goats and chickens onsite, a very nice setting. A pretty butterfly pavilion to stroll thru. I spent about 2 hours here with my folks and enjoyed the walk and flowers. Reasonably priced.
