Not the greatest selection of product aside from alcohol and cigarettes. But I love the owner. Very little spoken french and english, but the service is great. Really great lady. I love going here.
Totally disagree with local guide Jonathan Hébert! Here is a tiny convenience store located in the U of S district whose space has been cut in half ex-video rental club one can imagine. A convenience store plunged into darkness, no lights on any fridge, really dubious $ promotions. the state of the premises completely dilapidated, the space of the premises used halfway, the owner and only employee who knows a maximum of 3 words in French. I would be curious to see a Quebec revenue agent turn up at Dépanneur Chez Michel...
Worst convenience store I know of in any city. It stinks, it's never lit, never heated the door is always open the lady is crazy and she just speaks Chinese or English.
You really have to be taken to go to this convenience store. The owners speak French or English. I have often seen products with foam on them. Not recommendable.
The owner is very nice. His Chinese accent is his charm :
Ni hao, the best convenience store in the world ok thank you very much
