they are holding me and my property hostage for not issuing a certificate of occupancy, Inspectors already signed final inspections so I don't understand why I have to wait months for the CofO... someone needs to review and regulate the service there it can't be that I have to pay months of mortgage and not live in the property!! for no reason!! all renovations are done and signed off already!!
The lady who answer the phone is very rude, she needs customers service training. More information regarding of building and safety matters.

Tenant landlord Issues on the 6th floor for our case. Get here early for parking but there is a parking structure.
The city is in bed with landlords and businesses! I've had a completely obnoxious noise situation right outside my window from the florist shop downstairs. The noise inspectors came and measured the sound from the inside rather than the outside, so they said this horrible noise is completely legal in a commercial zone! Unbelievable! My basic right to peace and quiet in my apartment is completely ignored! I believe they are corrupt because the fixed equipment guidelines I found online said they would measure from the OUTSIDE, but they measured from the INSIDE. They're not following the regulations as they are written, they're giving businesses and my evil landlord a complete pass!!! Tenants have no rights in Los Angeles, apparently! No rights whatsoever!!!

I called today to get information about permits for a property we were interested in purchasing. I spoke with Debbie and she was very helpful in answering all of my questions. She also gave me the name and phone number of the code enforcement officer I needed to contact. I had a positive experience and appreciated Debbie's patience and help.
