Made an appointment in March, scheduled for September 8, 2022 at 345pm Arrived at 300pm because the Marine Corps made me come to appointments early, checked in with my assigned team waited an entire hour, and didn't get seen, they had to reschedule me to the following morning... Whats the point of Scheduled Appointments MONTHS IN ADVANCE if you're not going to see the Patient? Unprofessionalism at its Finest
1. Phone system is outdated. Why can we just speak to a human being that can direct us to the right department? 2. Enough with this, "thank you for your service" every 5 seconds. 3. When I finally got ahold of someone after pressing "0" 5 times, they tell me, "its a walk in clinic sir, you can go in an talk to someone there!".. Well lady, whats the point of having a darn phone number in the systeminternet if no one is going to answer it!?
Im soooo grateful for everything they’ve done even as a young Vet. I wish ALL vets not only elder ones, more young ones get the help they didn’t know they needed. They found so much that I never knew about me & im incredibly happy in my life right now thanks to them! Thank you for all you do for us!!
They really don't help I went in to start the process to get benefits all they did is typed my info into the computer told me your in red team then they told I didn't qualify directed me to Texas veterans commission I contact them gave my info they said they get back to me that was 2yrs ago still no answer from anyone I call they don't answer...it's a shame how little effort is made to help vets and make it hard to contact anyone
98% of the staff are friendly and try to help. Appointments can take a while to get, but they will try and get you seen somewhere else if it's too much of a wait. I don't get why this place has 3 stars.
This would of been a 1 star but the problem I ran into got somewhat fixed. I recently became a homeless veteran, not by choice but I am dealing with the cards that have been dealt. My assigned Doctor was fantastic and most of staff except for the pharmacy check in clerk. The Doctor prescribed some medication I go to the pharmacy to pick up and he said 2 of them will have to sent via mail and I inform him that I am homeless and I don't have a address to provide and I ask if it can be sent here and I will come and pick it up and said with a attitude that he will not stock it here and the best he can do and tell the shipper to hold it. Basically he wasn't going to help me and overridden the Doctor orders. The next day I went to see the patient Advocate and I told him what happened and he contacted the pharmacy supervisor and one of medication was in stock and he gave it to me.
I've been very impressed with the doctors, nurses and staff at the clinic. I can't say enough about the quality of care and the quick response they've provided for my medical needs. The politeness and kindness of everyone there is outstanding. They are all very special people that care about veterans. A very heartfelt shout out to the White Team.
They must have paid for all the good reviews, I retired 4 years ago haven't seen a doctor once, changed at least ten doctors I never saw. Now my health is in peril and still no answer in sight, I can no longer smell but worst of all I've lost a good amount of teeth not because if negligence but due to the army starting a procedure and not finishing. Now no one cares, I'm at 80% but in the mcallen VA you have to be dying at 100% before they even set up an apt for you. It makes you wonder why there s now 27 brothers that become statistics everyday maybe its better? Maybe not? but McAllen VA wouldn't care either way, we're all numbers, sheep, used and abused for 18 years so they can treat us like a humane society.
Been going here for 8 years. This time was to Labs prior to GP Doctor appt. They were busy, considering the Pandemic and all. Masks are mandatory. Usually only Patient may come in. Glad they eliminated the Temperature Check at the door, since the Heat Index makes it feel like 108°F. Might skew the results. Everyone was doing their job to the best of their abilities. It was a quick trip. Also the Volunteers are back inside. One gave me ride in golf cart from my car, and then back.
Made a mistake and forgot to order a perscption. I had just moved back to the Valley. This medication you can not quit abruptly. Promised me they would get it filled and call me. Still waiting. Had to go to Mexico to get a temporary medication. Got sick and fainted. Really disappointed with pharmacy. Got on my healthy vet and order out of Poplar Bluff Mo.
