Nice caboose, observation car, and fire trucks. We were there during regular hours but museum was closed due to changing of display, per note on the door. Visited onWeekday
A very respectable little museum that actually surprised me. Nicely done history of the local community. I was amazed that passenger rail service ended in the 1960'sVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
A great museum dedicated to the history of the region. Well lit and curated, the artifacts on display takes you from the indigenous Calusas to the industry and development that made today's Lake Wales.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5

Comprehensive display of Lake Wales and Polk County. My family and I enjoyed our visit. I plan to return when I have time to scrutinize the information presented in the exhibits. It is located next to the historic downtown district.
They've really added a lot and done a lot with their displays. They have lots of things to see. they also have tours available of Lake Wales.a walking tour and a bus tour which is very nice and informative.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
Only was on the outside,it was closed when we'd stopped. Nicely painted and well maintained depot, with a restored wooden Seaboard caboose, unrestored heavyweight passenger car,and an big industrial locomotive, possibly a Whitcomb? Worth a few minute stop if in the area, probably more if it's open.
Such a great museum - small, yet packed with local history information.
We love free museums. The place was so authentic and had some great stuff. Got to tour a box car and a fire truck.
Nice little museum with an eclectic collection. They are trying to refurbish basically everything! They really need $$$! Would love to give them 5 stars but it is what it is! Caboose is beautiful if you like cabooses!
