Deseret First serves members of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and their families. We also serve employees of the Church and affiliated companies and their families.

Any citizen or legal resident of the United States who fits these criteria is eligible to join.

With 11 full-service branches in Utah, we offer a full line of savings and checking accounts; home, auto, and other loans; insurance, and investments.

I wanted to share my recent experience at your downtown branch. I'm a regular user and have always received great service from your staff, which I've grown used to and appreciate. However, during my recent visit to renew my credit card, I encountered an issue. The woman who served me wasn't outright rude, but I sensed some negative vibes without any apparent reason. After giving my ID for the renewal, I waited for about five minutes near her station, unsure if I should stay or find a seat. She seemed to have forgotten about me, not communicating or giving any updates. Even when she was done typing my data, she didn't return my ID. I had to ask her if she still needed it and if I could go and sit. It wasn't the welcoming experience I'm used to at your credit union. There was no smile or acknowledgment during the interaction, leaving me disappointed. I value my relationship with Deseret Credit Union and appreciate the positive experiences I've had. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience at your downtown branch. Thank you and looking forward to future visits with the usual great service I'm accustomed to.
I love DFCU SLC! Super helpful, kind, and efficient! Diane and Taylor helped my husband and I, and were able to turn a number of difficult issues into a positive experience! I highly recommend working with Diana because she is very knowledgeable and warm! She made sure to not only solve everything we had to do but also checked for any additional ways we could increase our credit and get better benefits in our card! She is detail oriented and very sweet! I highly recommend Taylor because he too provided continuous help and insights to help us get the best deal! He was very invested in helping us get what we wanted, and also showed great professionalism!
Olivia was fantastic to work with at this branch of Deseret First Credit Union. Her kindness and patience put my wife and I at ease during a somewhat concerning financial situation for our family.
Manuel is great! He has helped me multiple times and, in this opportunity, Olivia did an excellent job too! They made the process go so easy and smooth. Great service
When I walked into the office, the broad smiles on the faces of the staff made me feel welcomed. The staff were very helpful and listened to my needs, especially Olivia Hernandez. I would like to have the opportunity to work with them again.
I needed to open a new account and modify some of my existing accounts at DFCU at City Creek. Diana helped me and was able to get everything setup in a very short amount of time. It was a great experience.
Amazing customer service. I had so many questions and Diana seemed to be happy to respond all my questions. She was very patient and friendly!
