FREE ADMISSION - Desert Christ Park is comprised of over 50 steel-reinforced concrete statues depicting the ministry and events of Jesus Christ. Each statue is hand finished with a white paint/plaster mixture and weigh between three and 16 tons - including the three-story, 125 ton Last Supper Facade. With the exception of the Ascension and the Suffer the Children statues, all were built on sight between 1951-1961 by Frank Antone Martin, an aerospace engineer from Inglewood, CA who molded and shaped each statue, one bucket at a time. For more information on Frank Antone Martin, please visit our website at www.desertchristpark.org.
To preserve the legacy of Park Founder's Reverend Eddie Garver and sculptor Antone Martin, whose combined vision is providing a shrine for world peace, dedicated to all humanity without distinction.
The park is of historical significance to Yucca Valley; San Bernardino County; and the great State of California.
