Sent spme time looking for a red top.In last few mintes before they closed I found one at a great price. Will go back looking for a dress. Great selection. If your small great things great prices. AlwYs great experience.
Friendly staff, clean dressing rooms, and prices too good to pass. Not expecting a clearance section a pleasant bonus. Look forward to viewing more merchandise as the restock.
11/1/22 Had a 10:00 am appointment. They didn't open/show for appointment. Left at 10:20 to take my party dresses to another consignment shop in Kingwood.
Made the 35 minute drive to this store excited about finally finding a designer thrift store. Store hours on door AND on Google both state they open at 11. Showed up at 11:15 am and they weren’t even open yet. Had to wait in my car until they decided to show up and extremely disappointed by the inventory. It was all basically old lady clothing and only had 2 Designer brands. One pair of gucci shoes and one pair of louboutins. I asked if they ever receive any Tiffany’s jewelry. Didn’t even know what I was talking about. Will not be coming back.
Ever since this place has been under new management, they are completely unreliable. It's as if their hours should read "whenever I feel like it". I like their style of clothes compared to the similar stores nearby which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1, but I have wasted my last precious free time driving there when their hours say they should be open, just to find they are actually closed. Again. So unprofessional.
I would not go to this store at all. The reason why the store has great prices is because the owner has old clothing, that's totally out dated. In addition to that my husband needed to use the rest room, she declined him and said this is a women's store. Ummmmh like we didnt know that when we arrived. I told her that has never happened to me and my husband considering we came to patronize your establishment. She was afraid he may aim incorrectly. Bad clothing and certainly poor hospitality. shop somewhere else
Love this store I have been a customer of theirs for about 7 years. Awesome gently used name brand clothing from all the popular stores.
Sweet employees, great organization, and everything is high quality. Christian owned business but they didn’t mind my gay pride card either so I like this place. Got a super cute purse from this place that I feel will last years for $8.
After getting new ownership the store has become very picky with clothing, everything has to be newly steamed. Also very rude of the owner and the young lady to talk Spanish in front of me while looking at my clothes.
My most recent visit to Designer Consignor was a nightmare! My mother and I have been loyal consignors and shoppers since THE FIRST DAY TINA opened this place in 2005!!!! First, I called in November 2018 to secure a date to drop off my clothes to be sold. Guess the ridiculous wait time for the first appointment? January 2, 2019! My clothing is high quantity and in mint condition. I have never had a problem selling my clothing here before. I even took off work to accommodate there ridiculous wait time since it was the first available drop off date. So moving forward in the nightmare... I walk in and was not greeted. The older woman that has worked there for a while took 5 minutes to acknowledge me. I had 40+ articles of clothing. She went through each piece and told me she needed me to steam about 20 items and she wanted them back tomorrow. I said no problem. Keep in mind I drive from Houston to kingwood to consign with this business for years. So this is completely out of my way. I refer several people here over the years as well. Right after the appointment I went and bought a brand new steam cleaner since she said the clothes were a little wrinkled but great to sell. In my opinion these clothes weren’t wrinkled but whatever I spent 4 hours back at my house in Houston steam cleaning and perfecting each piece to inconveniently drive 35 miles back to kingwood to bring back the clothes the next day. I bring the clothes back the next day. The other older women with brown short hair is there. I happily bring my consignments in, again not greeted, she wasnt friendly at all but I felt like I was an inconvenience to her!! She was very cold and didn’t say anything as I laid my well pressed clothing on the counter. I wait about 10 minutes as she helped someone else look at purses right in front of me. Talk about not being able to multi task as a retail sales person. Horrible customer service skills. Finally she slowly goes through each piece of clothing all over again and takes them saying thank you for driving back and steam cleaning them they look great! We will put them on the floor soon. So I drove away happy knowing my hard work paid off! NOT FOR LONG!!!! The next day I get a phone call from the first sales lady saying my clothes are too wrinkled to sell. WHAT?!? I had literally spent 6 hours driving and pressing these items to make sure they were pristine. She said we can donate them for you??? I said: What! That’s expensive clothing, I’m not donating it. Then she said you need to pick them up. First of all. My mother recently has become very sick and I really needed this money from the clothes to help her financially. Thus I went the extra mile to make sure they were happy with the items I brought in. I asked for Tina to call me the owner but the lady copped an attitude and hung up on me!! I’m shocked by this experience and will bring my business to other consignment shops from now on! There is a great place off 494 that has a better selection of designer clothing anyways! I recommend going there and the owner is very hands on and sweet. I’m disappointed I wasted time and money trying to do good business with Designer Consignor to be treated so terribly. I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE! Don’t waste your time! Horrible service and old staff that has attitudes! Too bad there isn’t anything lower than a 1 star. Because it would be here! Not a happy customer that’s been loyal for over a decade!!
