Dr. Powell is fantastic, but his dental asst. Jennifer, is stressed out due to short staff. At least that's what she said. She yelled at me about an appointment, that was missed, but an appointment was never made. She told me it was, it was on her book. I told her that day, I was sorry if I upset her, because that was not my intent. I called in to find out about an appointment for my husband and she jumped on the phone and was rude again. She than called me back and was rude again. I called back wanting to know her name so I could do a review and again she jumped on the phone, I was talking to someone else, she had her attitude turned on bad and let me have it. I didn't deserve it and gave it right back. Now being the growns ups we are, you would think we could peacefully get along and get past this, instend she refuses to be in the office if I'm there. Maybe that will give her some destress time. Totally uncalled for treatment. Still love Dr. Powell!

Best dentist ever. Dr. Powell and his staff was amazing. I am terrified of any dentist and has had bad experiences in the past but Dr. Powell was patient, gentle and made sure I did not feel a thing. If your looking for a great dentist that knows what they are doing and not just after your money then this is the place for you.

All of the Staff, the doctor the hygienist, the assistant, front desk clerk was all amazing and very nice. This was my first visit and it was a very pleasant experience. I will tell everyone that Dr. L. Powell and his team at Desoto Dental Clinic is the ones to go see. Thanks Desoto Dental Clinic.

I went in for an appointment on 7/18/17 due to excruciating tooth pain that came on unexpectedly the prior Friday 7/14/17. The hygienist performed regular procedures - x-rays; checked around my mouth, etc. finding that I did have a few cavities and my wisdom tooth would soon be coming in. The dentist then followed up as usual and checked out my x-rays as well as my mouth. He stated that I had a few cavities; however, none of them should've been causing me pain aside from a little sensitivity. I once again proceeded to inform him that my pain was unbearable and there had to be something wrong. The dentist did not look into it any further and stated that he did not see anything on my x-rays nor in my mouth that would be causing me excruciating pain... referred me to an oral surgeon for my wisdom teeth and sent me on my way. The pain worsened as the day went on so I contacted the dentist later in the day to let them know that I was still in pain and to see if he could give me any kind of prescription for pain, only to be told I would need to go to the ER if I needed something for pain. Of course I did not go to the ER. Since Tuesday, I have barely been able to eat or drink anything as the pain would worsen upon putting anything in my mouth. Today 2 days later the pain was so bad it was causing my whole entire side of my face/head to hurt and nearly bringing tears to my eyes. As I couldn't take the pain any longer, I decided to reach out to another dentist Dr. Denney that said he could see me right then. I told him what was going on and he proceeded to check my mouth.... turns out I had NOT ONLY 1, BUT 2 FRACTURED TEETH EXPOSED/DAMAGED NERVES and both needed root canals done. He prescribed me antibiotics to keep the nerve alive until I could come back as well as pain medication. Needless to say.... I will NEVER go back to Desoto Dental and do not recommend this dentist to anyone.

I'm putting the whole office on the Angel wall because that's exactly what they are. This is the only dentist I have ever gone to without any pain after any procedure and I have had some pretty rough ones.....
