This is a fine theater. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The lobby is a little dark for my tastes but the theater seats are comfortable. They have many screens with new movies. I would visit again.
Nice local movie theater. Not a franchise corporate business. Staff is usually on the young side teens mostly but are friendly and courteous in my experience. Fairly clean all around. The theaters are mid range quality with standard screens. Sound is fairly good with little to no bleed-through from neighboring movies. Though crowded on weekend evenings, this place is pleasantly empty other times.
A lot of the criticism is unwarranted. The tickets are cheap, the concessions are adequate, and I have never had a bad experience here. I've been going here for 18 years. The bathrooms do get mucky even when there is minimal traffic in the building, and that is really my only complaint. Staff members are laconic but amicable.
They always start the movie on time. Popcorn is on point. Seats are okay. The theater rooms are okay. The video games are okay in the lobby. The carpets are clean. The windows are okay. The amount of seating they have is a decent crowd. The parking line paint is good so you know you're in the line. It is a good location in the municipality as there are opportunities for Cornwall people, Newburgh people and other surrounding municipalities to partake in a delightful movie experience.
Went to see US, a much anticipated movie for my husband and I and highly needed date night away from our young daughter. If you're trying to escape your kid for a night, do not fear. You'll get to deal with other people's bratty and disrespectful kids the entire movie, because parents don't want to parent their kids anymore! This is an rated R movie, yet a group of 7 children under the age of 12 were allowed into the movie unattended by an adult. If that's not bad enough, the kids proceeded to interrupt the movie the entire 2 hours, laughing, talking loudly, kicking my seat, throwing mass amounts of candy on the floor, and using their cell phone. This theater has no staff over the age of 17 it seems, so the entrance of 10 year olds into this movie isn't a surprise. No one checked us in with our tickets. Why bother buying them? And not once did anyone come through the theater to check because if they had, I would have pointed them to the top row of kids behind us disrupting a very adult movie I paid to watch in a relatively kid free zone. Not worth going because no one wants to do their jobs and ensure that this theater is a nice experience for all. I'll go to regal next time and drive the extra 30 minutes.
This place use to be the best movie theater in the region, now it's crap. If only I could upload videos of how disgusting it is. The bathroom has mold growing on the walls. The hallways have garbage and old popcorn littered everywhere. The seats are sticky. And the clientele at this place is rude and obnoxious. The employees clearly don't give a damn. What is happening to the world. Why can't businesses take pride in appearances anymore. Worse yet, why can't the department of health shut this place down till it cleans up. What about the better business bureau? Best of luck to anyone coming to watch a movie here!
My family and I went to see an early movie right after the theater opened on a Saturday and the staff seemed unprepared for patrons. Popcorn tasted stale and was burnt and much of the food wasn't ready including the slushie machine. Better preparation before opening would be beneficial here. Beyond that, the theater was clean and staff was friendly. My only other issue was the fact that many of the lights leading to the theaters were off and it really seemed like they were unprepared to open.
They no longer offer free popcorn refills. Now you can purchase a plastic bucket full for 10 dollars, and keep the bucket all year. You pay $4.50 for each subsequent refill. I can understand charging for the refills, but who wants to wait on a line to pay when youre in the middle of a movie? You just want a quick refill so you can get back inside. Last time I was there it took nearly 10 minutes. Unacceptable. They better figure something out or they'll be losing customers.
I've been to this movie theater on several occasions and though it might not be the most up to date place I've been in, the seating is better than Regal in Fishkill, its less expensive than most for tickets and concessions and the movie quality is every bit as good as the expensive places. If you're looking for a nice night out that won't empty your wallet this is the theater to go to. I actually go to the movies more often now than ever before thanks to theaters like this.
We love destinta. Local convenient, decent pricing, great screens and sound. Service is decent and the seats aren't the best last one I sat in had the arm rest detached but great overall value. Also, their rewards system is messed up technically so that is annoying. They advertise an android app, but it is nowhere to be found in the app store.
