I loved their Shabbat service. It is in traditional Hebrew style with English translation, but their only downfall is that they do not welcome the nations. The rabbi said that they have nothing to offer non Jews there, and that this place is only for born Jews who have come to accept Yeshua, and that he wants his grandchildren to grow up and marry only born Jews. He said that he recommends to go to the Moody church in Chicago or go to Adat Hatikvah in Deerfield, that they would have something to offer as they accept non Jews there. So listen up people, if you don’t want to leave in tears I recommend that you scratch this place off your list if you are not a born Jew in societies eyes.
As a Jewish Catholic, after finding out that my ancient ancestors were Jews from the tribe of Dan that ended up in western Africa, and after having a Marian apparition, leading me to Jewish Catholicism, I must address this place accordingly. I have struggled with my Bi-Polar disorder in the past, and so had my issues, but nevertheless, my experiences are real. Overall, this place has lovely people and everything. The services are amazing, the Oneg times and events are great too. But, the head rabbi, who is a convert to Judaism, is a little racist against people they think to be non-Jews or actual non-Jews. I get that the leaders are trying to foster an Observant Jewish Community, and I am all for that, but the way the leaders go about things are wrong. As believers in Melech Moshiach Yehoshua i.e. King Christ Jesus, there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles in regards to status before Ha'Shem, and it is Judaizing to tell non-Jews or people you may think are non-Jews they cannot be members unless they are Jewish. That's the issue that Rabbi Shimon Kefa AKA Pope Simon Peter was rebuked for by Rabbi Sha'ul AKA Rabbi Paul for! They need to do better. Overall though, great people
This is not a real synagogue. This is a cynical attempt to convert Jews to Christianity under a different name. Jews—stay FAR away from this place.
Total sham!! This is NOT A REAL SYNAGOGUE, This is a Christian Church do not be deceived. This is not a house for MOT. If you are a Christian, then this may be for you, but not for real Jews. Peace.
I find it to be a very spiritual warm feeling when walking in the door. The Rabbi is everything a Rabbi is supposed to be. Warm, kind, thoughtful and more.
Genuinely good community, great Rabbi.
If you are a Jew who loves Jesus, get there. Best Messianic synagogue in Chicago area.
I came here and loved it. Very friendly
A warm, caring and active Jewish community.
