With the drive to create well-fitting underwear Stephanie Ostler founded Devil May Wear in 2003. Her handmade underwear was a hit, known for its soft fabric and great cut. That first bikini cut pattern brought her company from a small home base business to an extensive award winning wholesale and retail experience.
Devil May Wear continues today to create beautiful handmade basics from soft to the touch natural fibres, playful seasonal collections and inmates that make you forget you have put them on. All of which can be found online at devilmaywear.ca or in DMW’s three locations: 3957 Main Street Vancouver, Fan Tan Alley Victoria and in Granville Island’s Net Loft building.
Ostler’s dedication to locally made and sustainable products translates into her company seamlessly: Devil May Wear’s products have been cut and sewn in the Devil May Wear Studio in Vancouver B.C since the beginning. Using, mostly, natural, sustainable and eco-friendly fibres, the DMW team strives to waste less where possible. Ostler also plans on keeping the company base in Vancouver. On top of creating locally made clothing for her city, she wants to be a part of job creation in her city.
