Great campground! The wooded sites in Upper Ice Age were great, we were in site 401 which was right next to the shower facilities and a water spigot. We had one 9x11 tent, and could easily have fit one more large tent on the other side of the site. The camp store had some great souvenir items as well as camp necessities. Great campground all-around!
Great tent car camping. Plenty of space on the site and a reasonable space between. Although there will be a ton of people on the weekends. But during the week not bad. There has been 2-3 sites between us and others most of this week.
The bathrooms were nice and their were some trees to block out neighbors, but it was a very crowded campground and very busy. The site was all gravel and no grass.
This is camp in nature. If you like camping with no water or electricity, this is the place to go. Lots of hiking and lake fun activity. Just they don’t care about cleaning the restroom area .
Somewhat far from the lake so we drove to do the loop around the lake. It would be doable with a bike or if you had a longer amount of time to hike it there. It was a nice campground. The bathroom facilities were decent. The campsites were spread out enough that you didn’t feel like you were on top of each but you could still see your neighbors. It is a wooded campground so it has a very nice feel to it.
BEWARE! ADDITIONAL ADMISSION FEES NOT INCLUDED WITH CAMPSITE RESERVATION FEES! You pay $16 per night in addition to your reservation fees.
Really nice, huge campsite!! People got a little rowdy for us, we have a small child, there were definitely more party groups than what we are used to at a state park. Only four stars because the campground bathroom could have been kept cleaner but our campsite was amazing.
Loved that there were trees to provide privacy and the campsites were not close together. Some of the sites were rather large.
Good sized spots that are pretty well screened from each other. Much different than other sites at the park which tend to be wide open.
