We came for breakfast, had good coffee and friendly service. It was Sunday morning and shop opened at 9:15am. The breakfast options are quite limited. I would not call it a breakfast place. We had sausage, cheese and egg on croissant. It wasn’t anything special, but decent quality on a smaller side in terms of size. They didn’t have decaf, cappuccinos we’re fine, with very thick foam. They have a wide selection of wines by the glass, which should make them a nice place for a drink in evening.
We were so happy to find this great cafe! Despite the fact that our family's coffee orders are varied and maybe a bit ridiculous--- they happily brewed up each latte, mocha, and cold brew with a smile and attention to detail. And the food is fantastic-- highly recommend the banana fosters cake made in-house and spinach quiche with brown rice crust, which the gluten free member of our group really appreciated. Finally, the service is friendly, cheerful, and hard to beat ANYWHERE. We've gone back each morning, and can't wait to return today!
The hot chocolate here is amazing! Try their soups and sandwiches, they're great too. You can find all sorts of things in this store from beer to wines, to gourmet grocery items and quirky napkins, as well as fire starters. Love it!
Overpriced. $15 for a chef salad. I justified it because we are on the mountain, but then I received a portion that was the size of a large side salad. I will definitely advise my renters to eat at other establishments. It will be my first and last experience here. Also, the lady was very rude. She told me the music festival in July is usually their busiest time, but it did not happen in 2020 due to covid. I expressed my concern for the lack of business and she told me she would rather the people not come. I did not feel very welcomed!
My wife and I visited the every day during Christmas week. The wine was reasonably priced, the quality and variety was fantastic. The food was great and the chili was piping hot. The staff made us feel like family every time we visited.
As I entered the store instead of a WARM WELCOME I was greeted abruptly as I entered the store, even though she was waiting on other clients, with “You have to wear a mask to be in here”. I ignored her since her professionalism in presentation of the stores restriction was far from most of my experiences since we arrived in VA. As I proceeded to browse through the store she loudly announced it to me I would have to put a mask on to stay at their store. I told her I was vaccinated which exempts me me from having to wear one. She says they service many elderly folks so they require masks or I could choose to not shop there. I was SO APPALLED at her response and unprofessional I told her “ YOU ARE CORRECT, I don’t need to shop her establishment!”. Since it is off season and I felt bad for them being a small business owner just like myself I was only going there to help them out. But I walked out and believe me I will NEVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN AND WOULD SUGGEST ALL CONSUMERS COMING TO THE WINTERGREEN AREA SHOP PRIOR TO GETTING TO THE RESORT AREAS. Avoid this store like the plaque!
This our favorite place to come when we stay at our home in Wintergreen. We love the staff, the wines are some of the best we have ever tried and their food is outstanding. Come with a laid back attitude, it is a boutique store that caters to their customers. You will love it.
What a gem in the middle of mountains. The Expresso latte was great, we had also some fresh and tasty food prepared by love. Great atmosphere and very friendly service.
Cannot be more impressed with this beautiful establishment! Great service, extensive selection, affordable prices, and lots of gluten free options. Definitely try the specialty items on the menu.
We loved Lewis Creek Market when it was in Staunton and we’re thrilled that DeVine is in the wintergreen area! Fabulous service from Denise and other staff. Speciality diet-friendly menu with lots of delicious local cheeses and other products. We will come from Staunton just to hang out at this beautiful shop with a gorgeous patio and view.
