Beware of past due payments that you may have inadvertently forgotten about or thought you paid, take swift action in making good on your payment immediately otherwise they’ll shut you down and CLAIM that they called you a few times and or sent you notices in the mail regarding disconnection. Once you indicate that you never received any type of such notices then they’ll claim they don’t really have to and they provide such notices as a courtesy. You’ll have to pay a $50 fee to reboot your power then get punished with 4 payments of $80 per month for good measure as a reconnection charge. Don’t bother speaking to a supervisor because they only reaffirm their stance and will promptly hang up without asking whether or not you were satisfied with the call. It’s all on you of course with Zero recourse, even if its your first and only time. Compassion for the Customer is not in this company’s rules unfortunately. Been paying electric bills for over 40 years but 1 strike and you’re out with these folks. Wish I could sell my house tomorrow just to move away from their service area. There’s a first time for everything lesson learned, it’s all about making bank anywhere and anyway you can regardless of circumstances.
I help pay my mom pay the electric bill at the house. It has been this way for years. I got locked out of the online account so I called because you have to have the account number to reset the password. The representative I talked to was very helpful and friendly.
$245 for deposit???? Are you even serious???? Who do you think you are with this company??? If I don't pay, just turn off the electricity, but making me pay $245 for deposit just because I've never had an electricity bill on my name is very rude!!!! Ridiculous company!!! Would give them zero stars if I could!!!
I wish I could give this company zero stars! Absolutely worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with! We just moved in to our home after a long 2 year lawsuit with a house we bought in 2020. We were forced to live in our RV due to mold sickness from the undisclosed foundation problems and of course paid utilities to the RV park-so there goes their “letter of credit” to waive the RIDICULOUS $250 deposit to start service! This is a private owned NON PROFIT Co Op and they’re out here charging people like this! We have an EXCELLENT credit score and apparently that doesn’t even matter! My partner is a disabled Veteran and we can’t even get nice customer service on the phone while establishing with this company after being with them with ZERO missed electric payments for over 10 years! I have been in retail management my whole life and I can tell you that your company needs some serious training with your staff for incoming phone calls. After reading several reviews with the same exact type of complaints I see this is a problem company wide and not just with the rude lady I encountered on the phone. You all should expect extra questions and explanation when you’re making requests that other companies do not. Shame on this private non profit co op taking advantage of people. It’s clear this is done because who else can we get for electric in this area? Why not take advantage of people if you’re all they have to choose from, right? Oh! And apparently, there is a charge monthly just to use the service?? Why isn’t that explained on the phone when you’re setting up service?! I had to read that in a review on here!
Yall were told to cease and desist digging and trespassing on private property, then you come onto my property and decide to put a junction box on MY PROPERTY. You need to come get your box off MY property. And figure out what to do on YOUR PROPERYY that is 6ft away west of the junction box. Or figure out if your new customer will be paying the rent for the box, or if yall are paying rent. There will be no access to said box when my fence goes up. Unless yall have a 6ft+ pole to get to it with, there will no longer be any trico employee stepping foot on my property after the blatant disregard and illegal digging and trespassing. Have a good day. Yall have my contact info.
I believe I've been a Trico customer for about 40 years please don't age me, LOL and have had a great experience throughout this time. I guess I want to say thank you for offering the "budget billing" system and reviewing the accounts to either raise or LOWER my annual billing. This year was a pleasant surprise as my two services went down by over $50 total! Keep up the good work TRICO!
I have been a Trico member since 1983 and I can honestly say I've never had a negative interaction with them. Just yesterday I had a power outage in the late afternoon. This doesn't just mean no cooling but we have a well so it also means no water! The Trico crew was here in less than an hour and had the problem located and repaired in about an hour and they had to dig pretty deep to locate the line. Thanks for a job quickly and well done Trico!
My roommate and I pay our electric bill on time every month. Because there are 2 units on our address Trico keeps shutting both off when the other one hasn't paid their bill. We shouldn't have to suffer because someone else isnt paying their bill. You guys are a ridiculous company.
Currently confused! Why would I receive a termination notice when the bill due date is 3 days away? Why would I be told that I am 80 dollars behind when this is MY FIRST BILL? Thats right I haven't even lived here a month yet! How can I already be behind 80 dollars? Could it have something to do with the past tenants bill that was left and Trico tried to charge me for? When I paid my deposit, my card was charged an extra 189 dollars for the previous tenants bill that they didn't pay. It took a couple of weeks to get the money back! So to get my deposit back at the end of 12 months I can't have more than two termination notices... I've got one not even a month in! I am not happy! Not off to a good start Trico! Ok, I waited a few months before posting this to make sure there was no more issues, So let me say that after my post Trico contacted me in an effort to get to the root of the problem. They talked about what happened and took full responsibility for the mistakes made. It has been a few months now and I have had no trouble. My recommendation would be to call them if you have an issue and see of they can help resolve it.
We are new to Trico since March and have been pleased with the few interactions that we have had. We've lost power a couple of times during the monsoons but feel Trico got it back on in reasonable time. And a big thanks for that! Happy in Montana Vista
