Myron" Mike" DeWitt is a Susquehanna County native who received his bachelor of arts degree from SUNY Binghamton in 1975 and his law degree from Michigan State University in 1980. From 1981 through 1985, he practiced law as an associate at the law firm of DeWitt and Schneeberg in Binghamton, New York. His practice there consisted of a general practice including real estate, estate planning, family law, bankruptcy law, Plaintiff's personal injury, and Social Security disability. During that period of time, he was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and began a part-time practice in Pennsylvania. In 1986, he joined the Law Offices of Francis X. O'Connor in Great Bend, Pennsylvania engaging in a similar practice. Beginning in 1987 to date he has been practicing as a solo practitioner as well as a partner in the law firm of DeWitt and Cordner in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania until his partner's election as District Magistrate in 2012, after which he has continued to practice as a solo practitioner. His practice has consisted of a general practice with emphasis in real estate, elder law, estate planning, and consumer bankruptcy.
