Audrey Gaffron Diallo is a fine artist living in the Boston, MA area. She holds a BFA from the Atlanta College of Art and works as a fine artist, a professional graphic designer and African drumming instructor.
Audrey Gaffron Diallo was born in Berlin, then West Germany to an American mother and German father. As one of 4 children, she was surrounded by international, multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-ethnic circles of friends. After graduating high school, she headed off to college in the USA, earning a BFA from Atlanta Collage of Art. Audrey embarked on her career as a graphic designer in Atlanta, Berlin, and later the Boston area.
In an effort to continue her personal growth, Audrey began taking African Drumming classes which soon lead to a passionate pursuit of learning traditional African music. She traveled to West Africa to study with Master Drummers of Mali, Guinea and Senegal. The trips to Africa made a deep impression on Audrey’s soul, as she fell in love with the people, the music, the landscape and the fabric of each community she visited.
Audrey’s Trips to Africa and her connections to the African community in Boston have profoundly shaped her artistic expression. She aims to tell the story, share the music, mystery and immense beauty present in even the most mundane daily activities.
Audrey is married to a Senegalese national and they have 2 children. Together they live in Somerville, MA
