Loved the store and the great selection of the lasted sporting outfits. Even though the price is a bit overpriced for many items but today, Black Friday, I was able to purchased a few items with great discounts. But the customer service is absolutely horrible! One of the item that is on sale should have additional 25% off but sale representative refused to honor additional discounts even when is supposed to validate the discounts.
For shoes - I wouldn't go here. That's all I went for, the rest of the store seems to have lots of items/selection and organization, so I don't want to go lower than 3 stars since all I was looking for was shoes and I had a poor experience. First off, that section was a mess and once I did found a shoe that I liked, I would dig through stacks of unorganized boxes for 10 min, only to find that they didn't have my size. There wasn't a ton of staff help with finding the shoes either. The one cool thing about getting shoes here is that there's a treadmill in the section for testing shoes! And they have a good return policy - unfortunately the shoe I did find like and buy was really high in the back and gave me a blister when I went for a run, but the return was hassle free and easy and they even gave me a coupon to go back :
The store is very clean and the staff is nice, however I was not a fan of their price match service. Online they say they will match any advertised price but in store they will only match local brick and mortar stores with the product in stock. The product I was looking at was $30 cheaper from Amazon, the manufacturer, and REI they would not price match any because first two were online and REI had a size 11 in stock but not a 12 so no match. Well amazon won this battle, which was sad because it was a really nice store.
Its a very big sporting goods store. They have name brand products that are high quality. Although they aren't as great for smaller sports like paintball you can find what you are looking for if its football or basketball. The more common sports have a larger selection.
Items mixed up and there were apparently old expired labels they honored, but cashier made a guilt trip comment about it, which was uncalled for. Wide selection of items and lots of employees willing to help, but many kids themselves and not very helpful.
I'm impressed with the willingness to help of the staff and the level of knowledge they possess about the products. One thing I would like to see is a better selection of footwear. There is an incredible level of the same thing with different colors. I would like to see a wider variety of footwear paying a little less attention to including every possible colorway. I would also appreciate a selection of workboots. Those two things are what is keeping me from tapping that fifth star.
Looked around forever for a solid color, basic tech-fabric shirt for soccer tryout. Couldn't find anything in the nonsense layout - no signage, no rhyme or reason to the placement of items. Stopped and employee to ask and he seemed annoyed. Explained what we needed and he told me "they didn't carry stuff like that." I pressed further, "running shirts?" & he waved dismissively at a section over there and said, "yeah, we have running stuff..." and walked off. Did eventually find one on sale amongst the $35-60 tech shirts, but I was unimpressed. If we hadn't needed it same day, I would have just ordered something on the internet. I miss Sport Chalet where people were helpful and the layout made sense.
Bought our daughters new bike there a few weeks back, and I was really impressed with the sales guy's knowledge and demeanor, mostly with the fact that he absolutely did not do a hard sell. In fact he said hey go shop around, you never know what you're going to find Walmart Target Big 5 at cetera. We have good stuff we have great service... I mean we bought the bike there because it was the one that fit her well that she likes that seemed good quality good price at cetera, but just saying a big part of that was the guy in the Sporting Goods bike Department who was just helpful, not pushy.
Large and in charge. Alot to look at. I was looking for camping gear. Some prices good some a little higher than online but competitive with other brick and mortor stores. The staff was very nice. I'll go back when I need more stuff.
Be careful of the sale signs, they place them on the wrong merchandise. When you go to check out it rings up wrong. The manage won't even honor the sale sign. I was shopping and seen a sale sign on the under armor soxs that read buy one get one free but when I went to check out she said they were 25% off Like I said even the manager wouldn't honey their mistakes. He could only say sorry the sale sign was in the wrong place
