This is a Taiwanese chain serving high quality, family style food. This was my first time eating here and I wasn't disappointed at all. The food and flavors were excellent, as were the service. However, portions are smaller and prices are fairly high you get what you pay, though. Set your expectations appropriately so you don't burn yourself. The waitress/bus folks were very attentive, friendly, and frequent. I tipped 20% no hesitation on a $160 meal. If you like Chinese fast food, this isn't the place for you. Stick to Panda Express. If you want higher end Taiwanese style dumplings and noodles in a family style setting, then give this place a try.
Very good choice of food and eclectic environment. Mateo was our server, and he was very attentive and fast! Loved that you can watch them make dumplings while waiting outside for a table! However, through no fault of the restaurant, our reservation was held up due to a large party over extending their stay after eating. Vegetarian options: They have a vegan dumpling that's very tasty and several steamed vegetables to choose from.
It is a very modern place and the food is very delicious. We were lucky to find Derick our server who was extremely kind and patient and explained the entire menu to us. Everything was delicious and we even ordered food to go 10/10 Food: 5/5
Din Tai Fung has been extremely popular to the public with their famous dumplings and famous green beans. Though they are extremely busy with a wait time of 1-2 hours for walk in they still make sure to give great customer service to everyone. I’d recommend checking out Din if you’ve never been here before, they are definitely family friendly!
Great meal. Enjoyed every dish. Good service, too. I recommend it. CON: We didn't get our pot stickers or spicy wontons, but we didn't realize it until after we left. Make sure you receive everything you paid for. We didn't.Food: 5/5
Din Tai Fung was a hit! Chicken fried rice? Classic and comforting. Garlic green beans added a kick, while the cucumber salad was a cool touch. The veggie Shanghai rice was a vegan's dream. Now, those chicken dumplings? Next level. The pear lychee martini? Exotic and fresh. Rounded off with a smooth Sapporo. Sophisticated vibes but super chill.
It's one of those great places that have perfected their dishes and just can go wrong with it ! Really loved the experience overall. The food is amazing especially their xiao long baos and steamed Dumplings. Do try out the desserts pretty new concept for me. Great over for friends and family with a fine dine experience
Din Tai Fung, a Vietnamese restaurant that has taken the art of dumplings to a whole new level, is a culinary gem that left me utterly enchanted. Nestled in its cozy ambiance, I embarked on a gastronomic journey that celebrated the flavors of Vietnam with a focus on the king of comfort food - dumplings. The menu at Din Tai Fung boasts an impressive array of delicacies, but it's their dumplings that steal the show. With every bite, I found myself in dumpling heaven. The Kimchi & Kurobuta Pork dumplings were a tantalizing fusion of flavors, perfectly blending the richness of pork with the zing of kimchi. The Chicken Dumplings, a testament to simplicity done right, were incredibly satisfying, showcasing the restaurant's expertise in crafting the perfect dumpling. The adventure didn't stop there. I delved into their noodle offerings, savoring the Noodles with Spicy Sauce and Noodles with Sesame Sauce. Both dishes were a delightful symphony of textures and tastes, leaving me craving more long after the last bite. What sets Din Tai Fung apart, besides their exquisite dumplings, is the meticulous balance of flavors. Each dish, whether it was the spicy noodles or the savory dumplings, was a harmonious blend of spices, sauces, and fresh ingredients, creating a memorable culinary experience. In essence, Din Tai Fung is a haven for dumpling enthusiasts and anyone with a penchant for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. With its exceptional dumplings and a menu that caters to various tastes, it's a place where simplicity meets perfection. If you're on the hunt for the best dumplings in the world, look no further. Din Tai Fung is where your dumpling dreams come true.
Went for my daughter’s birthday dinner on a Monday at 6pm with a party of 6 with no reservation and they got us seated very quickly! We ordered quite a few of the more popular menu items and loved it all! Dietary restrictions: The server asks right away if you have dietary restrictions Kid-friendliness: The server points out what is kid friendly on the menu and my kids loved it all
I enjoy coming to Din Tai Fung when I get the opportunity to Washington Square Mall. The wait period can get long so if you plan of dining-in it is best to make a reservation!! For desert, I really recommend the Sweet Taro Buns, 10/10!!!‍
