I loved staying at this hotel on property. Service was fantastic, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the location can't be beat. The pools and hot tub were great after a long day at the parks. The poolside bar has tasty drinks and yummy food too. Downtown Disney and the parks are steps away. I also love that you can quickly take the monorail into Disneyland park. Walkability: Steps away from Downtown Disney and the theme parks.
Let me just say the price is worth every penny! My family stayed for two nights and enjoyed one day in the park. It was worth it just for early admission. I have a toddler who has medical needs and so having the hotel within walking distance was a must! This was the first time we have ever stayed on Disney property. Our family will most likely never to stay off property again. As soon as we arrived the gentleman at the front desk had created some Disney magic for us and just had outstanding customer service. I’ve been to many Disney resorts many many times but this was the first time I actually experienced the “Disney magic”. I loved the colors and photo ops, the location, the food, and the gift shop which has great finds! If you want to splurge on something to make your vacation that much better stay here! Rooms: The best part about the rooms is literally the carpet and the headboard! The headboard also sings a lullaby so make sure you turn it on! Also don’t forget to look for the hidden mickeys!
Always had great experiences at Disneyland Hotel in the past. This time...bad. the staff was not friendly or helpful this time. We had our luggage at the bell desk upon arrival since we got there before check in. At 11 pm after a full day at the park, we went to the bell desk to retrieve our luggage and the lady at the counter went to get it then told us we had to take it off the cart and carry everything ourselves to the room. When asked if we could at least use the cart, we were told no as it was a "hazard". When asked if someone could bring the stuff on the current cart across the property to our room, we were told "no" as they were the only person working and not allowed to deliver the items to the rooms. We were the told "sorry" and asked again to removw the luggage off their cart and carry it up ourselves. In the morning, management was advised of the lack of service and the response was just "sorry". Then after my sister brought it up again and pushed the issue, the only response was sorry, and we were given an extra hour before check out. Very disappointed in lack of service. I noticed a big change in the park too, cast members were rude and bossy rather than helpful and kind. Will definitely reconsider staying at the hotel again, for the price paid, the customer service was a joke. Rooms: The suite was clean mostly, found a shell of a bug in the blanket from the closet but everything else was clean. They were decorated pretty. Walkability: U walk farther staying at the hotel than if u were in the park parking garage. The monorail was down. They need a special entrance only for guests. Food & drinks: Food has gone down in quality but not price. Wouldn't eat there again, it was pretty bad.
Great if you are going to the Disneyland Resort. Rooms are good size. Pool area is fun for all ages. Could use more restaurants on property so you don’t have to venture into Downtown Disney. Safety: You feel very safe in this area. Food & drinks: Goofys Kitchen is fine if you want buffet and a loud experience. Could use a nicer, maybe quieter restaurant.
Great location, hotel feels nice and nostalgic. New tower seems exciting but booked out months past it's opening date. Rooms are clean and feel special, location is nice fun walk from the parks and very close to monorail. Rooms: Clean big rooms, very comfy and great climate control Nearby activities: At end of downtown Disney. 1-2 min walk to monorail which takes you straight into Disneyland park Safety: Lots of life guards, and Google security around. Walkability: Pretty flat walking with no stairs between hotel and park.
This review is specific to the hotel pools, since we rented a pool cabana for an afternoon yes, that's a thing you can do, but verify if you must be a resort guest. Hands down, a cabana is the way to go to have a little privacy away from excited and playing children. I'm old, I like my relaxation! Three great pools for families offering a variety of locations and a tall, retro water slide. I'm very impressed with the lifeguards that take their work seriously, not something I've seen at other hotel pools. Returning to the cabana, our space included a shady lounge complete with TV, ceiling fan, mini fridge stocked with bottled water and wash cloths for cooling. A fruit plate was offered along with menus for food and drinks. Two lounge chairs and a sectional sofa gave us options for sun or shade; a couple of my guests enjoyed some catnaps. Comparatively, the cabanas and pools are not as elegant as at the Grand Californian, but that isn't really a complaint just a contrast. The food was good for poolside fare, the drinks could have been a little stronger, but nonetheless we had a great time. One problem the upper pool does have is afternoon shade from the new DVC tower. Just keep that in mind if you intend to use it off season when the sun is lower in the sky.
My Family's First Time @ Disneyland. Was A Great Experience. Kids had soo much fun. I had a blast. Hotel was Incredible & Resort had so much things to too. Pools were very nice. Staff was Wonderful, Very Helpful & Polite. Definitely recommend Disneyland Hotel.Rooms: 5/5
First time at the Disneyland hotel in a premium view concierge room and it was magical. The view was spectacular. The cast members at the E-ticket were more than amazing. They were welcoming, helpful, and kind. Robert was just Fabulous and Karen at the desk was delightful, both always ready to assist. Thank you for your hard work. We appreciate it a lot!
The hotel is getting old, but it still better than many hotels I've stayed. The prive is high, but I bought a package with park tickets, so I'm not sure about price per night. When I stayed there, one of the towers was being refurbished and there were working noises, but in no way interfered with my sleep. The rooms are very spacious with plenty of space to organize the clothes. Everything is clean, and all the staff is very helpful. On my next visit to Disneyland I may repeat. Rooms: Very spacious and clean Nearby activities: Best theme park in the world Noteworthy details: The staff are great
I was not overly impressed given the cost. I stayed 6/27/23-6/30/23. The rooms: The 1 bedroom suite for 6 people was tight for the bathroom. We had one of the largest suites with a balcony on the top floor. The actual living space was on point. However only some 1 bedroom suites had an additional toilet. The suite we stayed in had an additional sink only. The bathroom with the toilet and shower was cramped. It was hard to get ready in the morning. It was very dusty in some places. The food: The food at the hotel was excellent. The pool: The pool is just okay. They should expand the lounge area and there should be MORE umbrellas. If people don’t want them they can roll them down. There are very few shady spots to be had and for the cost the pool area should have more amenities. We stayed during at least one business conference, which was annoying. They were at capacity. One of the work conference people reserved the entire back row in the shade the whole day with seats never being filled. The staff was amazing and gave her all kinds of warnings but the turn over of the staff at the pool led to a new person approaching her each time and her playing it off saying she was never told a time. Finally she agreed to give up one chair to my 72 year old mother after an hour plus of several of the seats being unused. There should be a different system. The staff: Every single person but one was kind and helpful except one security guard when I was holding my room key incorrectly and couldn’t get in the back gate. She wanted my 72 year old mother to walk around to the front of the hotel to prove we stayed there desposte my phone providing verification. When I told her she would have to call a manager back here before I would force her to walk she let us in. I am glad they took security seriously, but 99% of the time at night the gate was open. I would not stay there again. I would prefer the Grand Californian if I wanted luxury or Best Western if I wanted something more budget friendly. It did not meet my expectations for the cost.
