Dr. Mingus, the dental technicians, and the administrative staff have always been kind and knowledgeable. I have been here for years and have really grown a fondness for and a bond for everyone who works there. They're very compassionate and they remember details about my life from my last appointment, which makes me feel known and confident that I'm in the hands of people who care about me as a patient.
Like many people, I don't particularly care to go to the dentist. I do so regularly as part of the necessary evil to keep my teeth & gums healthy. Over the last 50 years I've been to several dentists but end up leaving for any given reason; I didn't feel cared about, always felt sales pressure or I just felt the quality didn't live up to the price. I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit to see Dr. Mingus and his staff. I had an initial exam, a crown, a filling, a cleaning and a whitening service. I was in the office for nearly 5 hours and I didn't mind one bit. Dr. Mingus was relaxed and engaging. His staff were caring and very attentive. The treatment plan I was given was practical, prioritized and explained very well. I've since been back and had the same experience. It's actually fun to go. I would highly recommend any reader of this do the same; you won't be disappointed. You want to know how good I think they are? I live in Portland and gladly make the 3 hour drive to see these guys.
I love Distinctive Dentistry! Dr. Kelley Mingus is a very personable and caring dentist that looks out for patient and the health of your teeth. I liked that you get the whole picture of what is needed but no real hard sell and you can chose to complete all the work or space it out over time. His staff are friendly and welcoming and follow up if there is any type of concern on the patient's part. My hygienist, Sierra is patient with me in my cleanings and always let's me know what she is going to do before just going about the cleaning. I have recommended them to many of my friends in the community and give them a top rating for courtesy and customer satisfaction.
Kelley and his staff have been amazing every time I visit! I have been to several dental offices in Bend and I will definitely be staying with Dr. Mingus. His unique approach to cosmetic dentistry was exactly what I was looking for! Highly recommended!
Dr. Kelley Mingus and his staff at Distinctive Dentistry are so amazing!!! The office was welcoming, caring, and kind. My entire experience was pleasant and I feel at ease while having services done. Customer service was excellent and efficient!!! I live in Portland, but I will only drive over to Bend to see Dr. Mingus and his staff for any of my dental services. They deserve 6 stars!!!!! -HH
Before visiting Dr Kelly Mingus @ Distinctive Dentistry I had developed a bad phobia of going to the dentist. I had a bad experience at another dental office in town and have very sensitive teeth that made dental exams and cleanings painful. After three years of avoiding the dental chair, I decided it was time to try again. I made an appointment with Distinctive Dentistry and from the very first phone call was impressed with the way they treated me. They were compassionate and made me feel like they really cared about my experience. When I went for my appointment Janet and Tanya were amazing and really made me feel calm and comfortable. The images Tanya took of my teeth were really cool and I had never seen such detailed xrays taken before. Dr Mingus was funny and attentive and spent quite a while going over my images and talking with me every step of the way about what he saw and what he would recommend for my future care. It was a neat experience. When it came time for my cleaning, I told the technician Sierra that I was a little nervous and had very sensitive teeth. She eased my fears and used a numbing gel on my gums while she did the cleaning. I didn't even know dentists offered this! This made my experience excellent. I didn't experience any pain, and my teeth look and feel great. Thank you to everyone at Distinctive Dentistry for changing my mind about dental visits!
I have had nothing but had experiences with dentists my whole life, so I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the BEST and absolutely most wonderful team I have ever met. Kind and understanding, thorough and amazing at what they do, they go above and beyond in every single way to help ensure comfort and just an amazing experience. I could honestly leave a raving review for every single staff member. Love this place, love this team.
No-one ever says they look forward to a dentist visit, until now. Dr Mingus and his staff make every visit amazing , l have my ortho and my routine dental work done here. If you are looking to change or new to town , I fully recommend this office.
Sierra does our cleaning and we couldn't be more pleased. She and Dr. Mingus make going to the dentist very enjoyable. I highly recommend this dental office for all your dental needs. Love them!!
This is the best place to go for your teeth! You will not be disappointed . I thought I had an excellent dentist with up to date laser cleaning on Maui, but Dr. Mingus pushed the bar even higher. . I had an initial exam, a filling, fast and painless and lasar/scalling cleaning and a whitening service. Then I had my front teeth bonded to correct uneveness and shape. I could not be more thrilled! For years I was unhappy with my smile, even though I had my teeth straightened. The dentist on Maui just could not do the work, or should I say "art" to finish my look and left me unhappy. Now I am thrilled. My teeth are very white and look fanatsic. The office is nice and located in an area easy to get too. The staff even nicer if that's possible. Sierra cleans my teeth, and if you stress at all, don't! She is gentle but professional. If I ever move, I will never leave them..it would be worth the flight to be in such good hands. So more stars if I could!
