I've been enjoying this wonderful small town restaurant since before I could walk. Its food has always been delicious and filling. Best bbq, hot dogs, onion rings, and milk shakes in the town. Very polite and courteous staff. Their prices are the lowest and the food is always presented extremely fast. The decor gives such a since of nostalgia that even though I have been there thousands of times I always enjoy seeing it again. I love that if I do not have time to sit down and eat, I can always count on their wonderful car side service to get me what I need as quickly as possible. I love them! Highly recommend to ANYONE especially if they want great food at a great price!
Best hotdogs in Martinsville, good BBQ also and hand cut fires
Love this place... The food and the customer service are top. Never waiting for refills, to be helped, food comes really quick and is always correct. My wife is in a straight leg brace and on critches. The worker came out and greeted us, and then walked rite over to her side and helped her out the vehicle and held the door open for us as we walked in. The whole crew spoke and greeted us as we came in. This is every time we visit this place.!!!!! This this definitely a great restaurant by far!!!!
been going there since 1970. always good food and friendly service. like eating with family. love the bar b que. best meal for the price. the french fries are awesome. no one cooks them like DP does!
Did not like the taste very well. My pork tasted like it had been heated in microwave. Also the smell of Fabuloso cleaner was so strong it nearly knocked me over when I walked in. Hint to business owners...please save your cleaning for closing. And do not use this god awful cleaner. It smells the worst of all cleaners. It nauseates people before they even sit down.
I got a cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate milkshake and it was all really good. We had a good waitress and the owner was also very charming. I will eat there again. My son liked his food too.
My husband and I have been customers for years and the first time we went in to eat together was very upsetting. Now I see why the parking lot is always empty. I am a white female and my husband is a black Male. The owner did great us. We sat down and ordered. We had ordered water to drink. While waiting on our food my husband's glass was empty. The waiter walked by us 4 times and never offered a refill. And looked each time he walked by. Then our food was brought to us and I did not get all the things I ordered. I told the waitress and she did bring it out. By that time i was so upset about the stares and service that we got up paid for the food we did not touch and left. I called and talked to the owner because i wanted to politely let him know how the customers that just left felt. He started in on me right away not even caring about my complaint because we did not touch the food. I do have conversation recorded and then hung up on me. I called back to let him know I would speak out about this. He then said he would sue me. After the waitress laughed at me. Luckily we have freedom of speech. This is the first time we ever dealt with this so yes I am upset. People usually at least are tolerant. Maybe the color was not the issue but something was. I shouldn't have to deal with this! We will never by anything from this establishment. It is not slander of it happend. Of course the waiters will say they didnt do it. My husband and I feel otherwise. Not even 1 star.
Fries were mushy and could taste the old oil. Sliced pork was NOT good. It was grey, dry and hard. Wasn't any better after adding BBQ sauce. i ate mine And husband's Cole slaw and he ate my hush puppies. He didn't even eat his onion rings which he never leaves. $22 for coleslaw and 4 hush puppies. Don't bother. The server didn't even ask why we left our plates full when she picked them up.
Nostalgic BBQ place serving Southwest Virginia BBQ. Sliced pork has almost no seasoning. But the barbecue sauce at the table is delicious. Excellent, old fashioned milkshakes. Great coleslaw. Hush puppies! Very friendly, efficient service. Note: no credit cards. Cash only.
Great food and amazing prices. The staff and atmosphere are very friendly but fast paced during peak times. Bbq is hickory smoked and the owner can talk at length about their style and method. Only thing missing here is a cold beer.
