DOCKSIDE ELECTRONICS EXPANDS OPERATIONS
New Ownership, Expanded Facilities & Staff Promotions
Dockside Electronics is expanding its Mystic-based operation to include a larger showroom, heated
bay for trailerable boat installations and repairs, and expanded service space. The business will
maintain its 18 Stafford Street address at Mystic Shipyard East.
New owner, Brian Brousseau, has been handling installations for Dockside for over ten years, and
was the partner of the business since 2007. Brousseau received his Electrical Engineering degree
from Three Rivers College, after graduating from Grasso Tech’s electronics program. Brousseau also
holds NMEA certification as a CMET Tech, is a Certified Raymarine Technician, and regularly
attends annual dealer technical trainings yearly.
Dockside Electronics was established in 1972, by the late Fred Wilson, and became one of the most
trusted and respected marine electronics and installation businesses along the waterfront. Under
Brousseau’s ownership, the business will continue with this tradition, expand its operations, and
keep abreast of the latest technology and innovative products available in the marine industry.
Tim Killam has been promoted to Sales and Office Manager for the company, handling all day-today
company business. Killam is NMEA certified as an MEI Technician and is also a Certified
Raymarine Technician. Along with Brousseau, Killam attends all technical dealer trainings
throughout the year.
Fred Anderson is the team’s installation technician. Anderson has been with the company for 28
years performing new electronics installations. He is also a Certified Raymarine Technician.
Dockside Electronics is hosting an Open House on Saturday April 14th 2012 from 8 am to 3 pm.
The new Dockside team will be available to welcome guests, and showcase the features of the new
location. Raymarine, Furuno, Simrad, Lowrance and B & G will be on site to display their latest
new products, as well as other Dockside vendors and products.
Dockside Electronics is one of Connecticut’s most experienced marine electronics’ organizations
offering complete marine electronics solutions. In addition to providing sales and installation,
Dockside provides training for the latest technology in marine navigation. Cosmetic innovative
carpentry work, stainless and aluminum fabrications are skillfully handled, as well. Dockside is open
year ‘round, Monday thru Friday at Mystic Shipyard East in Mystic, CT. Dockside Electronics is
FCC Licensed, with radar and GMDSS endorsements. Dockside’s facilities include a working slip.
