We took our 11 year old son to have bloodwork yesterday. Ms. Brenda was amazing. She calmed him down and told him every step of the process. She was kind and firm. She was a blessing to him and us!!! The process was quick and easy. He said, "She is the best". Thank you Ms. Brenda!!!
I wouldn't even give one star except to leave a comment. In my experiences with Dodge County Hospital ER, I have not once ever felt like sufficient care was provided to myself or any of my family members. My daughter was seen today, only because she was in too much pain to drive elsewhere, and the care she received was appalling! They discharged her with a stroke level BP and did not even do any kind of physical examination for her injuries. They should be ashamed of themselves for the shoddy care they give!
I did not have a great experience. I was led in a room with the door wide open I had to look across the hall to see when the white couple walk in to see the nurse explaining to them where the buzzer were if they needed any help . I'm laying on my buzzer and didn't even know it. My blood pressure was going off about 15 minutes before anyone came to check. The politely close the door had to call hi. Out to go to restroom Didn't bother asking did I need help. My leg was In so much pain I was unable to walk out. Then had to ask again where the restroom were at because he hurriedly walking ahead so the people behind the desk told me. The nurse watching me struggle to take my pants leg off with no assistance. Had to tell him to close the door. If they have issues with people of color please tell them they need another job. Make sure not to go to that hospital. My pharmacy medicine goug the doctor told me something different Gave me three shots. 2 in the knew and the nurse assistance gave me one in the hip. I hurted for two nights and he told me it would last for 3 months that's not true either that or the medicine he give me wish I would have took the pills gonna try to give me some Ibuprofen the way I was hurting. Because me with what he gave me I didnt take them ecause it said it could cost me a stroke or heartache. A d i didnt have gouch 50milligrams Just a badd experience. Because everyone should have been treated the same
My father was admitted right after Christmas with Covid. He did not get great care. After just over a week pneumonia had set in and he had to be transferred to ICU where he was taken care of much better. He was then transferred back to a regular room after improving, and in the days since his condition has stopped improving. We are going to explore our options on getting my father the care he needs. I recommend avoiding this hospital if possible.
We recently had to go to the E.R with our youngest son. We were greeted with immediate care and a smile. All staff were so helpful and caring. Max lpn , other staff including respiratory, technicians and Dr gaskins went above and beyond to help our son to get better. We were very pleased with his care that night and so very thankful.
ER visit 1/11/2023 for chest pains. Chest x-ray taken, blood drawn, EKG taken. Hooked up to a heart monitor as well. Three hours later was being discharged. But wait, I have not heard from the ER doctor. Nurse tries to explain GERD. Tells me to take meds for GERD that I have been taking for a Year. Crazy. No word on x-ray, no word on blood work. No doctor talk. Will do my best to go to another Hospital next time.
I was hospitalized earlier this month at Dodge County Hospital for a ruptured diverticula. I went to the emergency room where my problem was quickly diagnosed with a CT scan. The ER staff was very attentive. Dr. Stringer and Dr. Slaughter were called in and I was admitted and treated avoiding surgery. The RNs, LPN’s and CNAs were wonderful. They came immediately when I needed help and were very concerned and attentive. I also saw Dr. Cribs who was very compassionate. I couldn’t have asked for better care. We are blessed to have this hospital and the caring staff who work there.
The staff handled every aspect of my care with compassion and professionalism. I was there a long time, but they were honest with me about delays and took my care seriously. The on-call doctor was very compassionate, personable, and knowledgeable.
The nurses who work in Radiology and the ER are so nice and OB is cozy and the older nurses are the best. The hospital is the best around these parts. They don't force a Co-pay at you. The right doctor will not let you go home until they figure out what's wrong with you. Some nurses are not that friendly but for the most part you can count on them.
If I could give negative stars I would. This place wouldn’t properly care for me when I was going through alcohol withdrawal. I had seizures at home and was going through DTs, my husband called 911 and I was transported here and then they made me sit in the bed as I was near death, didn’t give me any medication, so I had ANOTHER seizure infront of them. Then they finally started to care for me. They discharged me with absolutely no medication so I had to go back to alcohol or find meds off the street to come off. This place is a joke. If you wanna die, go ahead and go here.
