Dogwood Paw Spa

I hardly EVER write google reviews, but I love this place and the people that work there so much that I want to give them their due! We have been coming to Dogwood for years and have always appreciated the love and care that they give to our two babies. Our groomer has truly built a relationship with our dogs that can’t be replicated anywhere else. One of my dogs is VERY nervous and gets scared of everything, but this is the only place where he will allow them to give him a full groom and not leave the experience absolutely terrified. Dogwood is the only place I trust, after having some very bad grooming experiences elsewhere. We recently moved to Houston in April, and still make trips to Lake Charles specifically for our grooming appointments and it’s well worth it. THAT’S how good they are. They will make your fur angels feel special as well as do an amazing job on their grooms! If you are looking for a groomer you can trust and one that will treat you and your pups like family, then choose Dogwood Paw Spa! 11/10 would recommend

Dogwood Paw Spa I normally don't leave a rating good or bad for my business dealings, however I feel an obligation to rate Dogwood Paw Spa. I called Dogwood to set up an appointment to have my dog washed and clipped. Mugzy is an Aussi-doodle Poodle-Australian Shepherd cross. Standard Poodle-Standard Shepherd. The spa said they didn't set appointments, but they scheduled 4 large dogs per day and required them to be delivered between 8 and 9 AM on the day they scheduled. The dog also needed proof of vaccinations they required. I described my dog as above and asked the price to bathe and clip him. I was told the price would be $80. We scheduled a date, and I delivered on time with the necessary medical papers. My dog is 9 years old and I have been grooming him since he was a puppy. He is extremely cooperative and will do just about anything you tell him to do. I didn't expect him to be a problem, and I don't have reason to believe that he presented any problem to be clipped. The spa called me later in that day and told me Mugzy would be ready in about 30 minutes. I was there on time. They had neglected to clip his nose, and when I called their attention to that, they quickly clipped his nose. They presented me with a bill for $110.00 plus charges. I told the lady who waited on me that I was quoted $80.00 for their service. She said that the she didn't set up the appointment, but the $80.00 was just an estimate. She said that my dog was large and that was why the extra charge. A $30.00 overcharge on an $80.00 is a 37.5% increase over the charge that I was quoted. I was not told that the price I was given was an estimate. It was the charge for the service that I requested. My dog is 25 inches high at the front shoulder. By any standard that is not extra large for a large dog. I paid the bill and took Mugzy home. I feel that Dogwood Paw Spa is dishonest, and suggest that anyone looking for dog services that they provide would be better served if they looked elsewhere. Buyer beware!

Wow oh wow. Just happened to find this place 2 days ago. We made an appointment to get our Papillon, Ziggi Mae in for a groom job. What a fantastic place. Groomer's and staff friendly and very knowledgeable. Melanie was Ziggi's groomer and what a fantastic job she did. We came home with a completely different looking dog. We highly recommend them.

My sweet lil' girl [Papillon] absolutely loves going to Dogwood Paw Spa & Resort. She got to have a lil' "slumber party" [overnight boarding] with her other fur buddies. Next day, didn't really seem to want to come home. I think it's wonderful though -because I know SHE LOVES IT!

They do a very good job my pet is always glad to go there

First visit for us... Walked in and the lobby area was nice and neat. Made for a good first impression. No wait to check Harley in. The ladies were very nice and welcomed our baby like their own. Received a call about three hours later that she was ready to be picked up. Harley really enjoyed interacting with the other dogs. Received a photo of her after her bath. Overall, great first experience. Already have our second appointment scheduled.

All around rude customer service when trying to set up appointment. Very judgmental when my dogs never been there.

Scissor clipped my dog perfectly. I had a vet appointment the next week and he offered to cut her nails. He looked at them and said they did a great job, but they had filed them also.
