Its okay - good deals, low prices... but stock is usually empty, picked over, or gone altogether. NEVER more than 2 ppl on duty if that and BE PREPARED TO WAIT 20 MINUTES TO CHECK OUT.... easily. Also, they have hired a new cashier lady who is EXTREMELY RUDE. So if you like waiting 20 minutes to check out and then the checker being rude and snotty, this is the place for you!
The last 2 times I have been in this store, it has been in disarray. I have come to love the greeting cards at Dollar General, but I will no longer try to find one at the Ellsworth store. There were gobs of birthday cards, but in no order whatsoever! And there were a smattering of other cards, i.e., sympathy, wedding, etc., but, where?!
The staff here is super nice and helpful. The store itself is a bigger one, so it has a better selection of products. I've been to some locations that only have 2-3 flavors of products like Powerade for example and this one has the whole shebang. Like any other dollar general, they take cash, credit, debit, and snap benefits. I also will say the flow of the store is better than most. The register is not super squished or crowded with product. You can actually get through aisles with the buggy they have, and the aisle order makes sense. All the food is in an area, all the toys, etc. I'm going to say it has to be the best organization I've seen at one of these stores. And since I'm walking from Pittsburgh PA to San Francisco California and have visited my fair share of them, I feel like I have a good perspective on what they usually have and don't have on site. I thought it was one of the better ones I've come across and the people are great to travelers.
I love this Dollar General. All the kind,voluptuous, smart ladies working there make each trip a pleasure. If polygamy was legal I'd marry them all. I go there at least once a.day to bask in their glory. Plus they have the best prices in town on a wide variety of items.
Great prices : friendly staff. Good location : I was able to find what I needed easily, they had a lot of sale options. The variety of options was really surprising, truthfully. The prices were really affordable. Great job dollar general!
Like always having big carts in the aisles. I don't think I have been to a Dollar General that doesn't have carts in the aisles.
This location has everything ive ever needed from it and the staff is always friendly, professional, and helpful, even going so far as to take time out of their working to help me sign up for extremely helpful coupons for things such as diapers and wipes that are a constant need in our home. Worth a drive if you live in one of the smaller towns around ellsworth.
They recently reorganized the whole store, from front to back. Much greater selection to choose from now, especially in the grocery sections. Definitely, our new favorite Dollar General store in Russell, KS.
"Customers REQUIRED to wear mask in store" however 80% of the inbreeds around here can't read, and walk right in without one. Sure I wouldn't either if my job didn't require it. IF I did, someone from work wouldn't see me there without one, take pics, and rat me out to the "boss lady" for "putting public lives in danger" because obviously their masks are inefficient and mine will protect everyone, right? SMH. Utter nonsense that we are mandated by our state Governor and forced by a job, to be sheeple following unnecessary guidelines just to satisfy the sick fantasies of others who actually believe the masks are a cure-all for the virus.
If you like angry white trash women then this is the store for you. I have been in actual ghettos with less trashy people
