One of the better dollar store locations imo. The small fresh produce & fairly large frozen selections were quite surprising & nice. The staff that was working during my visit were nice, friendly, and helpful. Definitely hope to be in that area again to stop by some more. Unfortunately, the location isn't really somewhere near enough for me to designate it as my home location for my dollar store. I definitely recommend this Dollar General.
I usually stop in on my way to work. Staff always greets you when entering store, even if busy. Always willing to help. They are very friendly, polite, and professional. The store was recently remodeled and they do a great job cleaning and maintaining products on shelves. Good store to shop!
I have to say out of all the stores in the area, I prefer this one. Its always clean, well stocked, clutter free & the manager goes above & beyond when it comes to displays & setting up for holidays. The variety is much better now since the remodel. The girls & guys in that store really take pride in their work! If you can't find an item, they will take the time to help you find the item & answer any questions you may have.
Your basic run of the mill Dollar General. One thing that sets this store apart from others in the chain around the area, is the increased wait time in line trying to check out. Although this does enrage some shoppers, I have noticed that it has encouraged others to be more understanding, so although it's not something the store is responsible for- per say, the community around this store makes me feel better about shopping there.
Always one cashier, you wait in line to long. Manager digs through her own purse to get coupons out that shouldn't be used till next visit. This store was just remodeled, they should have gotten new managers to go along with the store upgrade. The workers lack personality and friendliness.
Based on where I live, I always go to Dollar General in Mineral Ridge. I prefer this one over the one in my town. One a stocking day or a day where the staff is setting up seasonal, the store never looks clutter or dirty. I notice that the managers take pride in their store. The staff is always very friendly and always willing to help me out. The store just went though a remodel and the managers are always to make sure that the customers are taken care of. They go above and beyond to make sure the customers are happy, even when they are in a bad mood.
I have been a customer of this store for approximately 18 years, on Saturday night I sent my daughter to load my green dot card and they only have one register that works properly to load the card, but THE MANAGER Virginia refused to do so when asked why she said she didn't know how....when my daughter told her the other cashier knows how she said ' I said I am not doing it' I am calling corporate office about her customer service skills. I have never had a problem with any of the employees there and know most by first name. I will continue to shop there but will request her not to wait on me.
Usually I like this place but this last visit made me mad. I had a return and I was just going to get a gift card cause my return was a gift and I had no receipt they tried to tell me that had no gift cards and I had to get something worth the same price right now. I was in a hurry so it really inconvenienced me.
Store is clean most of the time, but staff is not very friendly. I have had a few bad experiences there with Amanda. She has a nasty attitude. Also I went in around christmas, and nearly tripped going down the isle because they had an electrical cord taped to the floor with duct tape i didnt see. Not very safe for elderly, children or pregnant women like myself. The staff is always changing and i wander why?
Always have a great experience here with friendly employees. It's always clean and never cluttered. The new remodel brought a lot of grocery options and really opened up the store. My favourite one to go to by far.
