Always got what u need. Most time you can run in and out. But when busy it can be slow.. I've only seen one person workin the whole store. But store is clean and employees are very helpful .
Nasty attitude from a nasty hag working the cash register. Don't take out your frustrations on customers because you are a low vibrational loser working at Dollar General and upset with your miserable existence...especially when a customer is friendly towards you and says good morning. Nice store but trashy staff.
Store is clean, people are nice but the card reader is never working so it is frustrating. Also they had two guys selling t-shirts outside of the store which was a little annoying
Are they even open anymore? They literally close in the middle of the day every day now. What is the point of having this location if you obviously are not taking care of your employees and they don’t have enough staff. Dollar general needs to worry about the stores open and stop opening more. Again, the staff that is there is great and doing their best but dollar general needs to get it together. They have mask signs up saying required due to state and local ordinance, yet we don't have one. The staff is great people but obviously the company has no clue what is happening.
It's nice convenient and a good place for quick stop and go but it's not so quick at check out. The manager there is so greedy with her hours she won't hire anymore people because it will shorten her hours. So it takes forever to get threw check out they never open another lane so it's pretty much one lane all-day and night unless a manager happens to see u standing in a line. And be careful don't trip on anything, it's cluttered!
I have to say I never thought a whole lot about dollar stores. But my wife and I left our home with a list of things that we were going to buy in Plainfield and we decided to stop at Family Dollar in Monrovia just because she wanted to check it out. By the time we left there we had completely found everything on our list and were able to drive back home in a couple of minutes. The prices are very reasonable and I had employees come up to me and ask if they could help me. This is a great place to shop don't miss out.
The staff although nice are always standing around and or smoking outside Can’t walk in the isles too cluttered there are also boxes of stock in the isles The shelves are always close to empty Prices are never on products Every time I ask if they have something I am told we just got a truck so not sure Whoever is management really needs to check into what is going on here because as of now they are being paid to do nothing.
They need to get people in this store that comes in and open the store the Pepsi truck was there no one in the store it happens a lot here in Monrovia Indiana it’s 8:00am still no one parking lot full with the delivery truck
This Dollar General has a good selection of items to choose from for groceries, cleaning supplies and other common household items. Their prices are also generally pretty reasonable when it comes to their groceries, snacks, and canned goods you may need. They don't have as many frozen or refrigerated items as you'll find at the IGA, but they always seem to be stocked up on the essentials most people would need.
I used to love shopping here until the last year everytime I go the employees are always chilling outside smoking including the store manager who apparently cares not for the health and safety of the community and calling to complain does no good as the store itself has no care and neither does corporate!!!!!! So unless you want to smoke outside with the employees don't waste your time here. They are rude, disorganized and apparently have nothing to do as they are always smoking. Disgusting!!! Tired of having to avoid the cigarettes to get inside the door. Unfortunately we won't be back!!!!!
