Let me share my dollar general experience and I hope someone from corporate looks at this! Tonight at about 5:15-5:45pm on 1/19/2022 was in this store at this location and was only buying a couple of drinks for me and my wife. Also was purchasing a pack of cigarettes for myself! I frequent this store often and spent on average $100-$150 a month in this store because it's convenient and close to my house. However never again after tonight. The "assistant manager" banned me! Reason why you ask??? Because I watch this girl tell an elderly lady at least 60 she wasn't going to sell her a can of snuff because she didn't have her ID which is understandable. What isn't understandable is when I told the elderly lady I would purchase it and give it to her when I left the store. This girl at this point tells me rudely in front of at least 5 other customers that was against the law and called a 3rd party sell and she would not sell them to me. Be different if I was going to sell them to the lady but I was only trying to be the good person here and was going to give them to the lady. Clearly by looking at her she was at least 60. Anyhow I get to the register myself and lay my drinks up on the counter ask for a pack of smokes. She gets them I give her my ID she rings everything up I pay. After she's done ringing them up I looked at her and said now what would you say if I told you I was buying those for my wife? whom they was not for, but were for me She then at this point screams at me I'm banned never come back get out! So I ask who are you? The manager? I am the assistant manager she replied! At this point leaves the register and other waiting customers to follow me outside pulls her phone out and starts recording me and my wife! Be different if I had truly done something wrong, I just asked her a question. This is by far the worse I have ever been treated anywhere. This girl is young between 21-25 I'd say, but it's said things have gotten like this! I can understand rules and policies but with customer service such as this no one will want to return to this store. Buyers beware!!!!
It's handy got most things you need. Friendly people and helpful
Although they have two restrooms, only one has a sign for out of order yet they claim they are both out of order and will not give you the key for it. How can such a big store not offer a restroom to its many customers? Other reviews reflect the same issue.
This store was convenient to Stone Mountain. The customer service was okay. For some reason employees seemed grouchy. Maybe they needed more help-under staffed perhaps & tired. The store was organized & clean. I would have given 5 stars but the unpleasant customer service left me feeling like something was missing. Maybe it was just a bad day.
Employees are friendly and very helpful every time I shop here. I enjoy the color dot/square sales greatly and the merchandise on dollar isle are always something that I or one of my family members can always use.
First place we came to with diet Dr Pepper and a snickers bar after hurrying off Stone Mountain due to a thunder storm. Right place, right merchandise at the right time. Clean store. Happy wife, happy life..
No public restrooms is unacceptable.
I like the employees for there very helpful about were stuff is at an friendly employee's...great place to shop at..
Like the lay of the store, good place to pick up things you need around the house.
I just love DG not crowded you can shop in peace and quiet and not have to hurry up and plus it's not expensive got about anything you need!
