This store is a mess. Very hard to manage getting through the aisles. No customer assistance whatsoever, only a recorded message announcing that shoplifting was forbidden and if any item had been taken from shelf, to immediately put it back. Store mgr. Frank EXTREMELY RUDE. I asked him if he was hiring for any morning shifts while semi rude Robert was ringing me up for my $40 worth of items. He laughed out loud at me. Then spoke to my sister in this condescending tone after she politely introduced herself and explained why she was looking for a morning shift. I will not shop at this place again, Save Mart prices a couple blocks away are sky high, but their place is immaculate and customer service is second to none. This place is garbage on every point.
Rude employee refusing to provide change I requested for. Also, no respect to disabled patrons at the store. I will report it to the customer service and make them to serve better for good! Also, it is unorganized and cramped inside. If I would, I can give them zero stars!
Completely unorganized, terrible customer service, only one employee at the register, and the other registers are "self-checkout" and don't even work right! Only thing on those that works great is the camera and video display of yourself while looking embarrassed and stupid. AND..... at the same time, the ONLY person at the main register is getting overwhelmed with a long line that damn near went to the back of the store!!!! No joke!!! I won't be shopping here anymore, unless they change the store back to the way it used to be. ORGANIZED.
Very rude customer service, the older white guy, Frank? Extremely rude, pushy and argumentative. I would like to know where all these people who say they have "great prices" shop? These guys have 99cent store items and they sell them for way more than what Raley's charges for name brand foods. I just bought ham steaks, a loaf of bread and coffee creamer $20! The off brand coffee creamer, almost $4! That's more than Coffee Mate. And it wasn't even a big bottle! I get that it's literally a hop and a skip from my house, but I will skip it from now on. I will drive the little extra to get subpar customer service and better prices. This place is a joke.
The high prices and lack of customer service remind me of walmart but without the huge selection. With a name like dollar General I expected better deals. That's just me. I consider this business a one star establishment but I'm giving them 3 stars because they are always packed so perhaps maybe I'm basing my review on my interpretation of their name but this store seems to be popular with the masses. So who knows. You might really like this store.
Very disappointed with the way I was treated after the machine said my card declined so I left to check my balance In car and told them I'll be right back. The manager? older man put my stuff back less than two minutes from leaving there and walking back inside. When I said to the man I was gone two minutes he said we put Frozen foods back. I was over it at that point and left. Even though I had the money and machine was not reading my card.
Had some issues with being able to pay for all of the food I had wanted, thus needed to remove several items and get my coupons in line with what I was keeping and not keeping.. All in all, it was an extremely stressful situation for me personally. I just have to say that, unexpectedly, especially for the location, the cashier stayed happy to help me and never once made me feel like I was an annoyance to him, never did he seem irritated or impatient, he simply just intended to make the situation as least stressful as he could by helping however he could. It was intensely stressful immediately for me.. and I'm sure he saw that and I wish I had got his name, but I just want to say thank you to that man for being so kind that day. I really appreciated it and I still do. :
No carts to walk to your car if you make big or multiple purchases. Prices are good. Lines are too long. You get the sense that making labor is more important than customer satisfaction. Younger staff is friendly. If you are in a hurry dont stop here.
I love the stores frugal prices. They are comparable to other store as far as selection of merchandise. However they 9 times or more out of 10 their prices are unbeatable than competitor's prices. The competitive prices is what has sold me and made me a loyal customer to the Dollar General franchise.
We love the variety of product. Especially the baby clothes. Customer service was great. Need public restroom. Would have bought more but had to use the girls room. But unavailable.
