Sorry for the inconvenience is what I see every time I attempt to go to this location, word of advice. Don't go to this dollar general, The store hasnt had solid hours in years, they close early or don't even open at all. The Google store times never match the store actual hours, the store is constantly in disarray, items everywhere or out of stock. The place looks like a bomb went off on the rare chance that the stores actually open. But do as you will everyone has free will and can choose freely, words of advice/warnings. Thank you. They are literally never open until 10 even tho the store and the website says they are every time I go they are closed at like 5pm
This place should be closed down. Every time I go there they are closed early. It says on their website they are open till 10pm .they never are and they never change the time on their website. Also when you go to the register they sneakily change the prices on you ALL THE TIME! It's ridiculous. Loaf bread says its $1. When you get to the register it $1.50. Chef boy r d raviolis. 85 cents. When you get the register it's $1.30. They have had plenty of time to change prices but they don't do it. They just blame it on someone else. And you can tell they do it on purpose because they're register's dont show the price. So they think you won't notice. There got to be hundreds of items in the store that aren't priced what they are 9n the shelves. LONG STORY SHORT. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER DOLLAR GENERAL. IVE GONE OVER RECEIPTS OVER THE PAST 4 MONTHS AND YOU RIPPED ME OFF $21.30. AND CHANGE YOUR OPEN TIME ON YOUR WEBSITE. I GET TIRED OF WASTING TIME AND GAS. TO FIND OUT YOU CLOSE AT 5 PM ON A FRIDAY. GIVE ME A BREAK! !!
Ordered a store pickup for around 7pm-8pm, I was around the area decided to stop by. I don’t know who the guy was but he did not seem professional at all, I asked if my order was ready and he said he was getting to it. I went back about almost an hour later, waited in the parking lot, I understand I needed an email confirmation noticing me that my orders were ready for pickup but the store looked very slow. I had the pickup order late thinking the whole work day an employee could’ve gotten to it but it took me waiting in the parking lot for him to look at me from the store to cancel my order. SMH! I’ve worked retail before and that customer service was very lazy
This store needs to be shut down, the staff are highly unprofessional. They had 3 people on the floor just standing there doing nothing while I am assuming a manager doing nothing behind the counter. One of the cashiers are highly abusive towards people with special needs and than feels the need to laugh with other customers about it.
The store associate was lovely, but that's really the only positive thing I can say about that location. Could barely walk down the isles there was so much fallen merchandise. Nothing made logical sense in terms of placement and things were broken and opened all over the place. And there were zero carts to be found in the store. It wasnt busy either. When i asked if there were any carts the woman said "yes and no". Huh? Apparently they get taken. Either they got ransacked earlier in the day and the store will spend the next 3 days recovering or they need some additional help. Typically I love trips to Dollar General but i don't think i will be going to that location again anytime soon.
Always empty shelves but full carts in the aisles, you never know if they are going to be open or not, you can’t even go down some of the aisles because they are full of carts, it’s not like it’s one or two days it’s been like this for months
This store is so horrible. Always messy. Staff that work there are clueless and lazy. Seems like every week they change there hours. My opinion this store should get shut down until the manager or general manager can actually run a store that is actually cleaned and organized and don’t have clueless people. Why is this location only opened until 5pm now.
Good prices. I actually went there instead of Family Dollar, which is where I typically go for the items I purchased. Family Dollar is great for pricing and coupons. Unfortunately the store on E. Hollis St is almost always a complete mess when I go there. It makes it very difficult to shop, move around the store, and trying to find ANYTHING is a joke. But... Since I'm writing a review on Dollar General, I will not continue with Family Dollar's issues. Dollar General was a breath of fresh air when I walked in! Everything was in it's place. You could move around the store with no problems.. I mean, I understand that when people shop around, they don't always put things back the way they originally found them.. I honestly have no problem that. On another note, Dollar General also has decent prices. Their employees are helpful and kind! I don't drive and Dollar General is further away, so I usually go to Family Dollar. I definitely recommend shopping here for hygiene products, arts and crafts, toiletries, etc..
Me and my gf came here to buy drinks and some snacks. The drinks and snacks that we got was good. This place has a small parking lot with handicap parking and wheel chair accessible entrance. The floors were clean, the staff were nice to us. This place sells all kinds of different things. The prices are cheap and really good.
