This experience was like walking right into a Hoarders episode. I still can't believe the mess I saw at this location today. Even if you're short staffed, get organized! Nobody wants to shop or work in this combat zone. I have never seen anything like it. DOLLAR GENERAL, you need a new manager.
This specific location has went downhill for the last cpl yrs..Its dirty, unorganized, and the staff is clueless. Today, the cashier was running around looking for items for some customers that just walked in the doors avoiding the line. Her coworker was outside smoking a cig...really!?!? I come here only because I frequent the Farmers Exchange. From now on I'll make an extra
The woman who checked me out..was just rude..so in return I was extremely nice..saying thank you have a good day..no response....store is over packed with stuff all over the place...and not on the shelves..rude worker..
Prices on shelf are alot different when you get to register...I have to make sure they charge right price for everything...I've been ripped of so much...when you ask for right price they are very rude
Normally I really like this store. But when I was there this Saturday, both clerks were wearing their masks down with their noses exposed. I just didn't feel safe. I won't shop where I don't feel safe.
The woman at this location are astonishing, hard working, and always helpful/sweet to customers. They became like family. Very clean and organized place. Thank you ladies! Overall great staff, location, and tons of great things for every occasion.
The staff here is great they're very polite and a trucker and off and I parked near here they always seem to have just a little thing that I need whether it's something to drink or eat or a little container to store my things in while I'm driving. And I wish I could give them more stars than five.
I went in this afternoon to ask if they would fill up "1" ballon with helium for my sister's gender reveal party and the clerk said it might be ok but would need to ask James the manager first. Being that I had not purchased the balloon there James said no. I asked if I could purchase a balloon and fill up the one that I Had in exchange for buying one there still said no.. What kind of customer service is this? This store is in Berea, a town where I see so many kind people helping and going out of their way for their fellow Bereans except for yours truly James.. How would it have hurt your business by filling up one balloon? I think your actions today speak highly of your managerial skills.. Good luck with your career James You could have given your customer options to be as helpful as you should it's your job but instead you were not helpful at all. Great example for your fellow cowerkers!
Friendly people in your neighborhood store. Lots of people in line waiting all the time. Only reason this review didn't get the whole five stars is because I don't understand why there should be 4 employees on the floor and the fifth one running the checkout alone. Waiting in line with only one line for checkout makes every mistake or reason to wait longer that much more painful for the people in line...
In terms of Dollar Generals, this is a tiny cramped store and the poor cash registers are so crammed in that customers have to line up halfway to the back of the store. There's literally a "room" for gum to stand in before the registers built out of three walls of candy racks. Not feng shui or, "appealing logistical flow" for layout. Toys are in three different spots. The clothes look like a thrift store melee. I hate having to go in there, but the staff are great.
