Is a good clean, family, fun theme park. No different than your typical theme parks. There are rides, shows, shops, food, and so forth like any other theme park. The only thing I found different about this place than I have others is there large bird sanctuary for birds who wouldn't make it in the wild on their own. I think it's great with what they are doing. The food prices and quantity/quality is about the same as other theme parks, parking is based off of how close you want to be to the gates. We did general parking with no issues. There are tram services available. We walked to the park from our vehicle and it only took 10 minutes. We took the tram back and that took 3-4 minutes. If you decide to ride on the train, don't wear white. It's an actual train and you will likely get soot on you. Was a nice short ride around the park with a very energetic and enthusiastic staff. Overall great park for the area. If interested in amusement parks this isn't a bad spot to explore if your in the area.
Dollywood is amazing! Very clean, family friendly and world class customer service! Highly recommend. We brought my son and daughter today and it was amazing, if your local you must have a session pass! From all the holiday events they do etc. It's the only way to go! Also had a really great experience with one of their employees , my daughter needed to feed and my wife was trying to get a bottle ready, one of the ladies at Red's Dine-in, brought us a container of hot water so my wife could warm up the bottle quicker without even asking. Truly amazing!
Finally got to visit Dollywood for the first time. We waited for it to not be packed with people, and to see the Christmas lights. The lights were a little disappointing as there weren't that many compared to other theme parks I have been to. But it was still very nice to walk around and see what was there. We rode the train and got a different view of the park as well as get a good coating of ash and soot from the engine - an interesting part of the experience. We didn't expect to see an aviary of Bald Eagles, so they were a great surprise. It was a nice place to stroll and shop. All the employees we had interaction with were friendly and helpful. While I am way past the age to enjoy many of the rides there, the park appears to have a nice variety of coasters and thrill rides
This is our second time going as a family and it was wonderful. While we did enjoy ourselves immensely, there were some issues that could be resolved easily. First off, Dollywood desperately needs mobile food ordering. There are amazing food trucks, but the lines for ordering were exceedingly long, longer than the wait for the food preparation. This would also help with ordering the cinnamon bread as well. Secondly, Dollywood needs to either raise the cost of the time saver passes or limit the amount sold. Multiple times during the day, the line for time savers was as long or even longer than the regular line. There were FAR too many people with time saver passes. In the mean time, they need to allow drastically more time saver pass holders on until the line shortens. Lastly, why on earth does Blazing Fury not have a time saver line? We were hoping to ride it this time, and yet again, there was a line that reached almost outside of the themed area. There is a handicap line, and most rides combine the handicap and time saver lines, but for whatever reason, Blazing Fury does not. Outside of these things, we still had a wonderful trip.
Friendly Employees all over the park. Also helpful if you need anything just ask and they are more than happy to help. The food is pretty good and the refillable souvenir cups are a fantastic deal. Plenty of shows at different schedules so you can see most everything you want to if you plan it out right. We didn’t do any of the rides other than the free fall ride, I can’t remember what it’s called, but it was fun. The park was moderately crowded around 60%. I would say. The ride times we noticed were anywhere from 20 minutes to 65 minutes for some of the popular rides. We went to see the harvest festival, decor, and the pumpkins looked amazing. I wish there were more lights and other areas similar to the way they do Christmas, but overall, it was a great experience. We are season passholders and this was the first time we were able to experience the fall harvest. For the themed seasons, the tasting pass is a great value. For $35-$40 you get to sample five different things in there are both food and drinks to choose from. The drinks are a little less expensive so I would save the tasting pass for the food and just purchase the drinks.
We absolutely loved our visit to Dollywood last week. Everyone who works there was so friendly and helpful. The rides were fun and appealed to a variety of ages. Wait time in the lines was not bad. The Christmas shows were wonderful. The shops were gorgeous and prices were reasonable. The lights and holiday decorations were exquisite. Santa and snow at the end were an added bonus. We did not eat much because we were in a hurry to see and do everything, but we did get to sample the cinnamon bread which was amazing and a few snacks which were delicious and reasonably priced. Highlights were the candle shop, train ride, tree lighting, and drone show. Incredibly family friendly with a variety of activities to appeal to all ages. We can't wait to return!!!
WOW, definitely not what we were expecting!!! What an incredible experience. Take the best of Disney and the best of amusement parks such as Six Flags and you have Dollywood. The theming is superb and holds true to all that Dolly holds dear. Great rides, wonderful food and the number of varieties is enough to satisfy anyone, wonderfully entertaining shows, and so much more. There are play areas all over for even the smallest visitors to enjoy while parents take a break. Be prepared to walk!! The park is a lot bigger than you would think. Please make this a must do trip. We LOVED it!!!
Lots of fun rides. Great entertainment for the whole family. Different class rides for all types of people and all ages. Managed wonderfully. Flow of traffic and people is well maintained. Parking is convenient. Security is present and consistent. Lots of shopping, junk food, good restaurants etc. Wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back.
One of the best theme parks in America. Very well layed out and beautifully decorated. Admission fees are reasonably priced as well as the concessions and food prices. Restaurants offer a great selection of food with competitive pricing. This is the park to come to if you love roller coasters. There are plenty of other rides and live shows to enjoy. I highly recommend this attraction. I
Dollywood is fun for everyone. From the moment you walk in, it's just instantly exciting. It was my daughter's birthday, and they had birthday pins at the front entrance, which made her feel even more special on her big day. We were lucky and went during the fall fest. The pumpkins and fall theme made for such an inviting and warm feeling. We ate at one of the little restaurants, and the service and food were nothing short of amazing. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious! We only went on two rides, but they were so much fun, and the wait wasn't too bad. The shops are so cute and pretty affordable. ALSO, one thing that was huge for us was that they had medicine Ibuprofen, Tylenol, tummy meds, etc. for sale at pretty much every shop. It is a lot of walking, but it is totally worth it, and there are a lot of places to stop and rest. We only got a day pass but could definitely have used an extra day or two to explore the entire park. I would highly recommend taking a trip, so many memories to be made here!
